    Pros

Fast-faced, challenging, good pay & benefits. The people I work with are great.

    Cons

Can be stressful...after all, it is the freight business. The hours are not the greatest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hearing "good job" and "keep up the good work" would be nice to hear from local management.

I have been working at YRC Freight full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good Pay and benefits with union representation, overall a good place to work. Equipment isnt bad but its getting old and needs to be replaced.

    Cons

Had to take a 15% paycut and lost a weeks vacation. Management has changed a lot over the last two years. They learn the job and start performing well and then someone new comes in with new ideas, its crazy sometimes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think we are finally headed in the right direction, just keep trying to get all employees back in the game.

I worked at YRC Freight full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working hard in tough econmy to keep jobs for everyone. As of 2012 building momentum. Thankful! There are alot of Teamsters glad that they are trying so hard.

    Cons

Had to make hard cuts to men and pay to keep going it looks like its working so far. Failure to look at how those cuts may hurt locally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please do not forget your men and women who have made you what you are for decades. They have pride in this company as well.

    I worked at YRC Freight

    Pros

For the area in which I was living in, Roadway was one of the better paying jobs that was around. The environment was alright at most.

    Cons

Takes a long time to gain seniority on the dock, and would most like wait 10 years to work a day-shift, and at least 20 years to have off Sat-Sun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more up front when laying people off.

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The work policy needs to change if people dont appreciate working here get rid of that virus because its costing all of us money. Improve the sales staff and customer service.
