I worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Has a positive reputation which is unfortunate because its one of the worst places I have ever worked .

    Cons

Hospital acquiesce to the minorities and does not discipline equitably across racial lines. This leads to sub standard care ultimately because no matter what dept your talking about that dept in some way effects patient care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Turn in your keys and let more competent people give it a go.

I worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The benefits are great except that you have to pay for parking

    Cons

Management is very unorganized. They don't care about there employees. I was currently employed and got injured working with patients and was let go because I got injured working. I'm still not able to work and they continue to not pay for anything associated with worker's comp. Management makes every excuse to not help employees to improve within the corporation. There is no structured and it was one of the worst places I have ever worked.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better management that care about there employees that can take suggestions on how to improve how the department and patient care should be. They emergency department is run very poorly and the management is a joke. If your not in a relationship with a manager or know how to kiss butt to the management team, they will find every way to terminate your employment.

I have been working at Yale-New Haven Hospital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Close to highways. Nice cafe.
    Interesting cases

    Cons

Management does not respond to sexual harrassment and bullying . They have policies against this behavior but do not address the behavior. Shift favoritism blatant.
Allow harrassment and retaliation to continue. Do not honor verbal contracts made when you are being hired.
Management verbally abusive and not supportive. Would not recommend.
This hospital Lies to staff and public. Poor communication between staff and upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your mission statement and policies you set for employees.
Listen to your employees. You have a code of conduct in the employee handbook it should be enforced for all.
