    Pros

Good benefits, good work hours, opportunity to get jobs internally before the post externally, culture okay but needs improvement, wages okay

    Cons

Yale tends to make promises they don't always keep

    Advice to Management

To listen to what your workers say about improvements needed in the workplace, keep an open mind, stop playing favorites, don't make promises you cant keep!

I worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a great place to work if you like to learn, since this is a teaching hospital they give their employees the opportunity to learn in the job setting they are in. They also give you the opportunity to make the extra money you need to help with added expenses in your life. They have all kind of incentive that will keep you in a happy place.

    Cons

The only cons is that this hospital care about their patients so they expect your to have the same attitude when working around them.

    Advice to Management

I like the way management recognize great workers from the one who are not so great, and they reward them as they see fit, Keep up the great work management!!!!

I have been working at Yale-New Haven Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A lot of employee programs you can take advantage of. A stable hospital with qualified finance team that keeps it that way.

    Cons

It's a big place they try to communicate to employees but unless it's your section of the hospital you don't hear about it.

    Advice to Management

They really work middle management hard. They can add things to your job without notice.

I have been working at Yale-New Haven Hospital as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great cafeteria food, getting to work with some of the best pharmacists in the country, weekly grand rounds (interesting topics almost every presentation), getting to be on the cutting edge of medicine and clinical pharmacy, Epic Software System.

    Cons

The parking was terrible. The shuttle buses were nice, but taking 10-15 minutes to get from the parking lot to work was not fun. Most of the pharmacists there were very intelligent, talented preceptors, but occasionally I found myself with certain individuals that were below average with respect to teaching students.

    Advice to Management

Expand pharmacy services, integrate pharmacists into the medical team more often. Pharmacists improve outcomes for patients every day and should have a chance for an expanded role to optimize patient outcomes.

Great place to work. There is a good cafe with healthy food. Staff is very friendly. I enjoyed working here.

    Cons

I did not work here long enough to really see many cons. I did notice errors that staff made, but people make mistakes.
