I have been working at Yamaha America full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great people.... Work and life balance is good.... If you like music then you'll enjoy some of the perks! Good benefits and very stable job.

    Cons

Lots and lots of meetings. You must learn the Yamaha way. Making changes is a very long procedure that must go through approval after approval.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the management is very helpful and considerate to the employee's needs. Think less about seniority and more about who's going to get the job done the best.

    I worked at Yamaha America

    Pros

Yamaha produces musical equipment to add enjoyment to life.

    Cons

I cannot think of any at the moment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The positive motivators identified by F. Herzberg in the 1950's when he formulated the "Motivation-Hygiene" theory are: achievement, recognition, the work itself, responsibility, and advancement. These are what your team needs; loads-o-money is nice but not nearly as good as being valued and trusted.
