I worked at Zara part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Co workers and team work.

    Cons

Management depends on stronger people, breaks sometimes aren't until 6 hrs into shift, disorganized, gossipy, unprofessional managers, favortism, everyone is fake when corporate comes around, oh and petty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your associates instead of gossiping

I worked at Zara part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Global commission is a nice addition to the paycheck. Good pay for the long hours. My managers were great, as were most of my co-workers. Very busy store with lots to learn and do.

    Cons

I have seen some unkind management. Corporate is miserable. The employee discount could be better.
Busy stores, sometimes overwhelmingly so. Not a place to work for the faint of heart.

    Pros

Great experience in the retail industry.

    Cons

If fashion isn't your whole life, you will not enjoy or thrive in this company. Much like any other major fashion company.

    Pros

Great salary and opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Company is solely based on politics. HR managers do not really have HR experience. Favoritism is clearly evident in how corporate operates.

    I worked at Zara part-time

    Pros

The salary was decent even for my super part time schedule. Was paid store commission which helped a lot. They were willing to work with me when I wanted to change my position from cashier to sales.

    Cons

The co-worker are extremely immature and rude…definitely a work environment for high schoolers or college students.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The training definitely needs some tightening up…as a newbie you should go over everything step by step job policies, benefits, requirements and job descriptions….not everyone is going to to know how to operate if they have never worked there.

I have been working at Zara part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Real retail experience, real all types of customers, and real learning process for the first job. Get paid $12 per hour for a Sale Associate.

    Cons

They will use you until you drop. Bad scheduling, changing all the time without notice. You have to ask and show your interest. Otherwise they will assume you know it all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All good staff left the company because you don't know how to keep them, causes high turn over, cost of recruitment and training time to new hires. Taking too long to prove that one can get promoted and raised. No good- ambitious staff would want to wait around. So, do the right thing by treating them nicer. Give them what they deserve before it's too late.
