I have been working at Zara part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Zara really knows how to instill a sense of perfection in its employees. Not many other companies, especially in retail, make sure that everything is operating at its best. The work load is high, and a lot of times it does get incredibly stressful, but the employees are amazing, and everyone has a good time working.

    Cons

The management does not bend when it comes to sick days, or someone covering your shift. If there is any emergency, you will most likely get penalized for missing work. The interview is really thorough - they want to make sure they are hiring the most motivated individuals possible.

I have been working at Zara part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Plenty room for movement within the store, even possibility of transferring to different store to be a manager of some sort if you do really well. Pay was pretty decent for a retail store. I think starting was $11. The people at the location where I worked were friendly and helpful. You do get yearly reviews that allows for a chance to get a raise.

    Cons

Black out dates during holidays. No benefits unless you're full time. Discount was 10 or 15%.

I worked at Zara part-time for less than a year

    Pros

-great learning expirience if youre starting on the retail merchandising road
    - great benefits if full-time
    -fashion trends affordable
    -paid holidays if full time

    Cons

    - work - life balance impossibility
-after a year, no discussion of a raise sometimes years passed and theres still none
-no hours for part time, making full time work on extreme situations and impossible to get things done due to high volume of customers
-family and personal emergencies are not considered as one so you will be fingered at
    -schedules

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

there's a lot of people unhappy at that location due to the cut of shifts and schedule changes, two class pets that get the best hours and lately being asked by the company to work harder is bogus when the store is packed every single day. The managers are very rude to the employees in front of customers and they are always stressed.

I have been working at Zara part-time for more than a year

    Cons

work outfit is a little uncomfortable but customers treat you better due to your appearance in suit

I worked at Zara full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great employees and management, easy to move up, decent hours, great clothes. I enjoyed being a key holder and buying for the women and trf lines. I didn't want to sit behind a desk all day, so I didn't mind being on my feet. Option to travel and help open new stores. One of the girls who used to work at H&M had mentioned they would be there til 1-2 am to finish closing sometimes, but we were never there more than 30 min to an hour after work (inventory aside). I didn't mind wearing uniforms, but it would be nice to have better options. My main store didn't have a high turnover rate. If you like fashion, they are obviously very on trend.

    Cons

Time- off policies aren't great, and they always give you a hard time (I had a few family emergencies that could have been better dealt with on their end). The discount (15%) is terrible; many places offer at least 20 and sometimes up to 40-50% and/or a seasonal stipend. The corporate staff seemed a little snobby to us retail employees. I worked at three locations, and two of them had tiny, uncomfortable stockrooms which often made dealing with shipments difficult. One of the stores is alarmingly busy and too small for its location. The break room was bleak and tiny.

I worked at Zara part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great team of people-they motivated you to work hard. If you wanted to try something different, you would ask the manager and it would be done.

    Cons

Taking inventory and marking down product had a very outdated process. Low employee discount.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
