I have been working at adMarketplace full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The job can be challenging....which in my opinion is definitely a plus. You get to work towards a very rewarding goal that could pay off huge in the long run. Lastly, you get to work with a lot of smart people.

    Cons

If you are looking for a job to collect a paycheck and fly under the radar, adMarketplace is not for you. Management expects it's employees to be involved in many different projects, find problems, and come up with solutions to help grow the business. If you see this as a con there are plenty of other companies out there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Summer Fridays. It doesn't have to be the entire day but some kind of incentive that allows employees that work hard to leave a few hours early on Fridays during the Summer.

I have been working at adMarketplace full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work with very smart people, opportunity to learn every aspect of the business.
The environment is set up to have tech, sales all in the same place allowing more sharing and learning.
Friendly co-workers, if you have your lunch by yourself is because you already went out with your co-worker the night before and you need quiet :)

    Cons

Like every start up, they do act quick and do mistakes. there is fire drill to push project along so you might need to hang on through the storm but you are never alone! the teams are set to support the challenges

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep sharing ideas and project from different departments and offers dedicated time for feedbacks

    Pros

If you are looking for a fast paced growing company to work for adMarketplace is for you. The search advertising space is the largest in the adtech industry and this company is taking off, the people are some of the smartest and brightest in the industry. Sr. management is dedicated to the employees and growing this company, overall a great place to work.

    Cons

Growing pains are always part of the adtech world and adMarketplace has them also. They are constantly working to make the growth as seem-less as possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep growing and doing what you are doing, adMarketplace is on the verge of becoming a huge player in the search advertising world!

I have been working at adMarketplace full-time

    Pros

People are genuine and hard-working...always willing to help and dedicated to their work. Its a great place if you're someone who wants to make a real mark. Its not for those who want to blend into the background. But that's a good thing...you're really interacting with almost everyone in the company on a day to day basis and that's instrumental to personal growth and development. Not to mention, the company is about to get so much bigger (in name and number of employees). It would be a fantastic time to get in now.

    Cons

With great power comes great responsibility. You will work hard and much will be expected of you. You need to stay on your toes and know what you're talking about, working on, working towards, etc... Be prepared!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be willing to admit faults.

An unforgettable experience to jump start my career!

I worked at adMarketplace full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked at adMarketplace for well over a year and have only good things to say.

adMarketplace is a fast moving, rapidly growing advertising company that is making big moves in the search advertising space. It was a bittersweet decision to leave the company to obtain my masters. Mostly because it has been so enjoyable being a member of a team that is on the verge of making headlines typically reserved for Google and Bing. The people and culture are absolutely top-class — it is like playing on a cohesive sports team.

If you're a curious person, that enjoys being held accountable because you can see the long-term vision in it, then this is definitely a company worth applying to.

    Cons

They have the people and they have the product to support their growth, but as they grow they need to make sure the internal process are in place for when it is time to scale. However, this has been a major focus of late, and I am confident that have the key personnel in place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As you grow, either trust or train your mid-level managers to make more of the smaller decisions.

I worked at adMarketplace as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

The company has a renewed focus on measuring contribution and performance over hours worked. They are implementing new systems to track employee time to business results, and the results are starting to pay off.

The company is on the leading edge of big data & internet ad delivery technologies that will have them drawing the attention of Google Yahoo and Bing very shortly.

They will compensate you well for your effort and skill.

    Cons

They are driven to become the next big thing in internet advertising, and as such commitment is expected. This means working long hours when necessary.

Business is a essentially a trading platform. In fact an dashboard and ticker keeps track of the earnings made in 15 minute intervals. As such upper management is keenly aware of the money they are losing when there are issues. This type of pressure is not suited for certain personality types.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue your focus on cultural improvement.

I worked at adMarketplace full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I recently left adMarketplace after almost three years there. When I first joined, I was a clueless kid who didn't know much about anything - and now I'm an experienced professional that has grown more than most companies in the industry would allow.

adMarketplace not only taught me about the search space and industry as a whole, but educated me in how to be a great professional and encouraged me to get involved in product, team management, publisher growth and management, and most of all, advertiser management. They quickly put me in front of Fortune 100 brands and gave me all the tools I needed to succeed and move up the ranks.

It's with sadness that I leave a company that has done so much for me, and hopefully one I have helped along the way, and recommend them to any new or seasoned professional as a place to grow their career as part of a promising, quickly growing company.

    Cons

The above does not mean that they hand out responsibility loosely, you certainly have to work hard towards it and deliver, but management recognizes those who bring results and are eager to promote A-players from within.

Current Employee - Senior Software Engineer in New York, NY

I have been working at adMarketplace full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Short version:
    1) It is a young and energetic work environment
    2) The company uses extremely advanced technology (Same one in used by Google,Yahoo,Facebook and other Giants internet companies)
    3) It is a unique opportunities to contribute to the Internet online marketing future.
    4) Very good compensation.

    Long version:
I started to work for adMarketplace in 2012. They provided me with an H1B visa and they were extremely flexible with me since I had to move to New York from abroad.
The interview was very challenging but it reflected the company needs.
When I finally joined the firm I felt that I can contribute and be part of a good company with a rare and very talented team.
I knew that I will need to make lots of effort to learn as fast as possible the various technologies in use in order to succeed but the company gave me all the time and support needed in order to achieve that.
After 3 successful and interesting technical projects that they let me design and implement the company, besides giving me a good feedback, provided me also with a rare opportunity to learn the business side. This was interesting because I ended up, although being a software engineer, meeting with very large and important internet companies, learn about their needs, technology and vision.
My story is absolutely not unique in this company and I can guarantee that most of people I know in adMarketplace feel the same way as I do.

    Cons

Because of the high challenges that the company is facing from time to time you will need to stay late in order to achieve your goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The trade-off is always between innovation and reliability.
Keep pushing for innovation as you did so far because I am confident that the company will compete in the next few years with Google on the search syndication market.
