    Typical Corporate Crap

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Free stuff, good discounts, that is really about it, there isn't much else to say.

    Cons

All stores get punished based on other stores not doing their job, management at many locations is very weak, always finding a way to screw over their hard working employees. No holiday pay for pt nor holiday pay for working on a holiday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a deeper look into your managers, they put on a complete different act when you are there vs. when you aren't in terms of how they treat employees

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's interesting working for such a well known successful brand. I've learned a lot about sports in general working here. The benefits are decent. They offer 40% off merchandise, PTO, Holiday pay, 401K, and medical and dental. You also get to dress very casual since you are encouraged to wear the Adidas brand.

    Cons

There isn't much room for growth and advancement. Which is upsetting because Adidas is a globally recognized brand. The pay is not nearly enough! Your job can also be hard to complete because of the lack of communication across the board. I find it very political.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show your employees that you appreciate them. There are a lot of employees that work extremely hard every day for little pay and get no recognition from upper management.

Very basic pay, horrible area manager

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at adidas Group

    Pros

    The discount is great!

starting pay is not minimum, not too bad.

Shine training is rarely used but good information to learn taking on another job!

    Cons

    Horrible pay raises!

Bonuses based on companies performance, not store!

Sales Assoc weekly hours ranged from 4-12 hour per week some period of times!

Corporate was very rude to associates during walk through!

Management team discriminates and makes racial jokes amongst eachother!

Horrible area manager! when she walked into a building the place became tense and chaotic, sales associates paced around as if they were on drugs!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WORK FOR ADIDAS COMPANY UNLESS IM CORPORATE WORLD!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your associates as if they bring profit to the store and not just a body to fill when you need things done.

Hire management teams that actually have experience for the position.

If you expect brand pride you should deliver better quality apparel. designs are inconsistent and trash.

Don't make racist comments or racist jokes. (Management still under company/transferred stores)

Be professional in all ways of your job.

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great benefits that include paid time off, 401k and a discount on merchandise
    - Fun atmosphere in the store environment with a lot of friendly people
    - Flexible schedules where you will most always be given the time off you need

    Cons

    - Expectations are very vague and limited. Not a challenging environment where you may get bored with work and feel you have been there and done that.
    - No one stays with the company. Store manager and multi unit management turnover is so high you can expect a completely different set of managers on a yearly basis
    - Multi-Unit managers are not focused on growing the business by growing their people
    - Customer service is a secondary focus to store tasks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make good hiring decisions and develop your leaders. There will continue to be a revolving door of personnel until the focus shifts to truely developing instead of using it as a talking point.

    Pros

The health, dental, vision benefits & discount were awesome!

    Cons

The hours; I closed every saturday until I quit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We all realize that retail is not a glamorous job, but at least be aware of how you schedule people.

When an employee says hey I want to be promoted - help them train for that next step. Don't just shrug your shoulders and walk away from the conversation.
