I worked at adidas Group part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Most of the managers are great to work with. You also get free shoes every three months too.

    Cons

The managers expect you to talk to every single customer that walks in, but the store is very small and most customers seemed to look annoyed at how much attention they were getting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hard to move up in the company. It would be nice to have a step up from other applicants applying for the corporate level jobs that have no prior work experience at Adidas.

    Pros

If you enjoy sports and fashion it's an awesome company to work for. Solid discount, and great benefits.

    Cons

The company talks a big game when it comes to internal promotion, but most available positions are filled from the outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Grow the company from within.

I have been working at adidas Group part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The company will do its best to work around your schedule. It seems that it would be easy to move up in the company, but I still have yet to experience that. They are a very socially conscious company. The discount isn't amazing but it's a decent 30%

    Cons

The management is the biggest problem with this company, the fact that they don't hire the right management makes the working situation very difficult for the sales associates because they don't understand standards. I used to work at one the big "competitor's" company's, and the reason why that management worked was because everyone was constantly being reminded of the "standards" and everyone's work was checked. The idea of team was a prevalent factor to the company, and Adidas seems to lack of that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Inspire your sales associates, these are te people that will be doing most of the "service" or the "experience". Stop making your employees clean the store for you, they don't get paid enough money to be cleaning toilets and sweeping floors. No customer wants to feel like they are walking into a dust bunny filled room. Have standards!! Standards that are applied all throughout the company, and stick to them. Most importantly no one can eat in 30 mins. Please allow associates to choose whether they would like a longer lunch time.

I have been working at adidas Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great discounts not just within the company but to other affiliated companies (i.e Verizon, Microsoft, Sony) Worked with some really great people.

    Cons

There is a great development program for internal promotions that the company insist on taking if you want to move-up. But they still invest on externally hiring. Too much run around on how you can get to that next level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach. Turn over is really high due to inconsistencies.
