    I worked at athenahealth

    Pros

The work/life balance for the emplyees are great.

    Cons

Some mid level managers seemed very two faced. Would be very nice to your face and then to find out they never really liked you. Some personalities are very hard to get along with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to keep your word with employees. Don't be evasive about decision making, just be upfront and to the point.

    Pros

    Still thinking.....nope got nothing still....

    Cons

I fear for my job after seeing the managers in another department basically fire an entire team without reason. They made up reasons about how they were underperforming, We hear at every company meeting about how this is such a wonderful place to work and they just fire people with little to know warning. Do yourself a favor and look at other companies for work, I know I am.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

how about we get a better bonus instead of renting out the science museum next month.

    I worked at athenahealth

    Pros

    nothings good in there
    no new technology to learn

    Cons

no matter how you work - if you get good friends and formed a team - then you can just play around.
if you stand alone - you will be picked up by all.
the so formed team is making the culture and you just have to go with that.
    otherwise you will be out

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

if 10 people are saying then it does not mean thats true.
management have to get inside and see the culture been taken over by a small team
the US office is fine . but the indian office is ruined by the existing team.
