Former Employee – worked at bebe stores
Pros – Generous employee discount. Being paid off of commission. Recognition, praise, and more opportunities when you make a sale over $1000.
Cons – Some employees tend to be too competitive when attempting to earn sales. They will take the sales that you worked for in order to earn more commission.
Advice to Senior Management – Management is okay.

Pros – If you are young and hip and right out of college looking for an opportunity in retail BeBe is a high end retailer to start with.
Cons – Retail hours are tough but if you aren't married and have no children this will be the right place for you
Advice to Senior Management – Senior management should always connect with the staff members.

Former Employee – worked at bebe stores part-time for less than a year
Pros – all women, and management was always very supportive.
Cons – very high-pressure, and we were always outperformed by another bebe in an higher-end mall, so our bonus and incentives never actually worked.

Former Employee – worked at bebe stores full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The company in itself offers an excellent two week training program with an interactive video. Great tools the enables the managers and stylist to keep up with the fashion trends and educate us about the product. It offers great benefits and raises the bar of management and associates when it comes to service.
Cons – The high and sometimes unrealistic expectations of the company can be stressful. Management and stylist have been unprofessional the store manager is either playing favoritism or refuses to hold stylist and management accountable for their bad behavior. Each management team is given a goal for a certain number of hours of sales for the store. The practice was good in theory but has created dishonesty, manipulation. Everyone looks out for themselves there's no teamwork.
Advice to Senior Management – Really listen don't hear what you want to hear. Make sure this is a fun professional environment. Treat everyone fairly don't pick and choose which policies you want to follow.

Former Employee – worked at bebe stores
Pros – It has a 50% discount! Every day was a runway show. Its a great place to network
Cons – They started me off with only $8 an hour plus comission. There is no room for growth! I knew girls that worked their for 4 YEARS and never got a raise! The girls were catty and would try to steal your sales.
Advice to Senior Management – The managers would ALWAYS let their personal life determine their moods. Maybe if they spent less time fighting on the phone with their boyfriends and more time doing their JOB, it would be a fair place to work at

Former Employee – worked at bebe stores
Pros – Discount
Fun atmosphere
You learn a lot about world class service within a retail environment
Cons – Little room for growth and when they do promote someone to management they base it off of how long you've been there, not necessarily how good you are at the job
Advice to Senior Management – Put a great focus on retaining talent and be more selective when picking your managers. Also, it would be great if there was greater access to other business areas of the company

Former Employee – worked at bebe stores
Pros – I started working for bebe as a co manager and got promoted to a store manager very fast! Bebe has one of the best medical/dental benefits in the industry. I had the best district manager when I started with the company. You can have a great life/work balance being a manager at bebe. I loved going to work and felt like I made a difference in the company.
Cons – This is a great place to work depending on the area and who your district manager is. I started working for a great district manager, but when I transferred to another state I was a part of one of the worst districts. My new district manager did not care about people that worked for her and played favorites all the time. There was no accountability for bad performance, and no recognition for good performance.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire only the best when it comes to district managers, if they are not preforming look at the reasons why. Maybe they are just not the right fit for the company. District managers should have passion for what they do and for the company that they work for. There is nothing more demotivating then a district manager that does not have those qualities and it will show in the performance.

Pros – one of the reasons why bebe is one of the best place to work at is because they have very good management system. they are helpful, friendly and encourages you constantly when you are working. the managers are your friend, but they always want you to improve. the pay is very good as well, they give you 5% commission so it makes you want to work harder, they give you a binder to keep all the clients info in, so that it is easy to keep up with what they want and to let them know when there is good sale going on.
Cons – probably some of the customers being vietnamese/persian/east indian, not all of them speaks english, its hard to communicate with them when they dont speak the language.
Advice to Senior Management – senior management does very good job of handling their staff in a professional manner but very helpful as well.
