    Pros

    Great product, niche market for the products and services that they offer. Incredibly valuable to customers, and companies that utilize comScore data to make business decisions. Very much a self-directed work environment, not alot of clock watching from management. Easy to move up the ranks in some groups. They love to promote from within.

    Cons

    Management can be a little overbearing at times, from the top down. CEO is a bit of a control freak, "smartest guy in the room" syndrome, though often he is. Internal promotion is nice, but historically had not always been based on merit as much as tenure and as a retention tool.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep innovating, remember what made you successful as a small company. CEO needs to release the reigns in many areas. Delegate better.

    A strong network of mentors for career development is a must have for the near future of comScore. Other firms in the industry propel the direction of their employees with a strong set of resources.

    Innovative product line with impressive technical advancements. Small company / team dynamic with big company presence. comScore is an authority in their field.

    Cons

    Selection of management has nothing to do with an ability to lead. Compensation is competitive at best, but usually below market in areas that count the most.

    Scale the company at all departments, to meet the challenges of rapid, positive growth. Provide resources where needed, to ensure product line maximizes its potential.

    Pros

    comScore really is a great place to grow your skills set. There is a lot of autonomy given and you are expected to perform well. It means pressure and maybe less structure regarding direction, but as long as you like that sort of thing, comScore is a great place to work

    Cons

    The company is still somewhat in start-up mode. There are not a ton of documented processes or easy knowledge sharing outside of talking with people. That works well when the office is small, but comScore now has hundreds of employees in multiple locations, so you have to be more proactive in contacting the right people to answer your questions than you would at a larger company that has a lot of internal documentation standards.

    Productivity is peaking with the available resources. To continue to improve and growth the business, management needs to invest in human resources. Times are tough, but you have to make that investment now for the payoff later.

    High energy, fast growing, exciting place. Lots is happening. comscore offers employees great advancement opportunities. A lot of smart people you can learn from and marquee client names. Tremendous information about what is going on in the Internet and Mobile spaces. Smart management helped the company grow and broaden its business base through product innovation and well thought out acquisitions

    Too much to do. The company has too many initiatives and people are not always clear on where they fit in. People are generally cooperative but not always. Challenges managing growth

    Pros

    mid-sized, growing company with great brand in cool market space - get to see everything that's going on in the Internet, mobile, video, etc. CEO (Magid) and Chairman (Gian) are top-flight people and managers - great leaders.

    Cons

    Pockets of 'cliques' exist and some unnecessary politics, although overall good people. I worked in the Chicago office, where the layout is "honeycombed" (bunch of offices). I prefer a more open layout that encourages employee interaction more (more typical in tech).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    break down the walls in the Chicago office (or move). upon exit of employees, ask if they think that politics in comScore was 'greater than normal'
