Culturally Conservative, Fox News played at orientation

    Senior Linux Administrator (Current Employee)
    Santa Monica, CA

ProsThe pay was definitely slightly better than other local companies for the position

ConsThe CEO will talk about Jesus in meetings.
People talk about church all the time, everywhere.
There are almost no black people in the entire company.
No real path for career advancement
No remote work allowed. Ever. Company policy is you are in the office for 8 hours at least.
    Constant stream of employees leaving.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow employees to work remotely, you're in SoCal, it's nice out. Your competitors offer this.
Don't talk about your personal religious beliefs at work.
Don't play Fox news to new employees in orientation!
Do exit interviews and you might find out why people are leaving

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Company has not been doing well the past few years so employee morale is very low

ProsSome of the nicest people work at eHarmony, but unfortunately growth opportunities are very limited. Benefits packages are poor as well.

ConsMarketing strategy changes constantly so employees are unsure what direction company is going in. The company is heavy on the tech side, but doesn't have a strong marketing team in place.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to be able to set goals for their direct reports, and focus on helping their reports to grow.

    ConsInept Senior Management
    Bad HR
