    Pros

Lots of free time to do other things.
There are still good people around, but the % is decreasing rapidly

    Cons

Senior management of this company is a joke. They say they want to focus on Medicare, but no actions support it. Layed off a bunch of Medicare positions. Company has no direction and is now becoming petty about everything. Just announced a forced PTO week in July in order to reduce PTO balances. Every employee just wants to leave - only a matter of time in the job market.
And for those who say the 401k is good, do your homework. My financial advisor says it is one of the lowest he's ever seen.

    Advice to Management

Find a strategy and execute on it. Here we are in April without a 2015 plan. Hope the board realizes that not letting go any senior people with the latest problems is negligent.

    Pros

-The cost reduction program aims to increase efficiencies and accelerate the company's return to profitability through a reduction of fixed costs, majority which comes from employee costs in the company's customer care and enrollment and technology and content groups.
-Strategic downsizing of the company's workforce in the United States is equal to approximately 15% of the company's worldwide workforce.

    Cons

-Estimated 15% reduction in its workforce or approximately 160 positions
-Management at all levels is not up front with employees and changes directions weekly-- can't be trusted
-Compensation plan changes monthly and has been slashed by 50%
-VERY unhappy current employees and many are leaving for other opportunities

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing by your employees

    Pros

You can learn the latest technologies. If you are a good diplomat, you can have a good life-work balance. The company pays to the selected group well.

    Cons

The culture of the company deteriorated last several years since the yahoo executives took over the control of the company. The company claims to have a team work. But when coming to layoff, it was no longer a team decision, rather a selected group made decision in some dark room. The leadership made mistakes, the general employees, as fixed cost items, suffer the consequences. The laid off employees were let go immediately without any explanation of the process even though we vaguely knew the company went downhill for IFP business. But cutting medicare staff for the case of weak IFP performance does not stand any logic. The only explanation is the management wants to outsource everything to China.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are not just disposable assets.

    Pros

    Nice chairs, ok break room

    Cons

Management, early and too late shifts, blatant favortism for few employees, no breaks, no team development, poor actual job training.

    Advice to Management

Be decent to staff, be more in touch that most of staff is disillusioned, stressed and just plain unhappy. Dont treat people like cogs in a machine. Keep promises made or dont make them until you can deliver.

    Pros

We have a brand new facility in the Westford, MA office and it is a nice environment to work out of...for now

    Cons

The workforce is one that is very cut throat and backstabbing. Nearly each and every person is totally inconsiderate to his/her fellow employees. Women use the restroom as a social lounge while I've heard that male employees have observed others urinating on the bathroom floor.

The parking lot is absolute chaos resembling that of a scene in Apocolypse Now. Employees have been known to intentionally park next to nice cars in an attempt to be "funny". It's as if they don't care for others personal property...or they have the humor of that of an 8 year-old

    Pros

Diverse mix of skillful employees with positive outlook.

    Cons

Overall needs complete management shake-up. Cronyism is pervasive. Management has no "value" for employees, belief that they are a dime a dozen with salary to match. If not part of the "favs" have little if any opportunity to make more than the $14/hr base. HR will "lie, cheat and steal" to obtain a commitment from prospective employees with promises of huge increase in salary.

    Advice to Management

Some Business School management classes would be helpful. Management and HR personnel would do well to value and develop current employees instead of wasting employees' time and efforts. Would be helpful if HR listened to employee concerns.

    Pros

I struggle to provide content here.
The heath insurance is better than nothing.

    Cons

Public humiliation and finger pointing is the norm.
Process is only something to avoid or hide behind.
Project management and customer management are avoided at all costs.
I received my dental insurance cards the same day I received them from my new company; 10 months after my start date.
I would hestitate to recommend this company to anyone.

    Advice to Management

Sadly, Management is enjoying their expense accounts and have zero interest in their employees.
    Offer formal training.
Perform skip level meetings to ensure your upper level managers are performing to expectations.
