    Cons

during this change to a digital company, still challenges but getting better.

I worked at hibu full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Plenty of vacation time and bonuses for sales related positions, good benefits including a free $50k life insurance policy, and a great team atmosphere with people that are mostly easy to get along with and supportive of your career. Rapid advancement opportunities for top performers.

    Cons

Health insurance is pricey, and even more so for smokers. Above average pressure levels to meet sales quotas while expending valuable time training (often 10-15 hours a month) and gathering for weekly meetings. Difficulty transferring to other departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Utilize sales team for customer feedback and retention. Customer service portion of the telephone sales position should increase focus of determining customer's needs outside of what the company has to offer to better service clients in the future.

Current Employee - AREA SALES MANAGER

I have been working at hibu full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

As a rep there are uncapped commissions and lots of flexibility as long as your numbers are met. As a manager your income is more fixed less variable. The people in my region are great to work with and the benefits are good. If you work hard and are motivated by money then the payoff can be very lucrative.

    Cons

It's not an easy job. You are constantly expected to hit your numbers and it can be very stressful. The company has gone through a lot of changes over the past few years and with any kind of change there have been plenty of growing pains. There is a serious lack of communication between departments on the back end of things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be a better system in place for getting issues solved. The crazy phone tree the sales staff has to go through when calling corporate is inefficient.

I worked at hibu full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexibility, great training, upper management are currently great to work with! Competitive salary! I truely believe it's a great company to work for if you can adapt to change.

    Cons

Company seems to be always in a transitional phase. Once you are accustomed to selling a product, you are trained on a new product! Feel like you are on the chopping block when you don't make goals

I have been working at hibu full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility if you do your job and work hard your not going to be Micro Managed. The money is great if you are self disciplined and work hard. You get to work with and meet very interesting people. Benefits are solid no complaints. The training is top notch!

    Cons

You have to be willing to work hard, some weekend and evening time required. Lots of door swings! Client culture can be hard to deal with.
