I have been working at iPipeline full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work-life balance. Great work environment. Friendly and supportive co-workers. If

    Cons

Not much room for growth in development. The company's strategy of acquire, integrate, maintain and outsource makes for a slow-and-steady outlook.

I have been working at iPipeline full-time

    Pros

Lots of freedom, autonomy, work/life balance is great most of the year and management is pretty considerate regarding personal matters. High energy atmosphere with lots of company events and celebrations.

    Cons

Some employees are resistant to change/new ideas, and there is a lot of activity in certain departments creating a lag in communication at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work, but encourage process improvement in every department - and encourage departments to work with each other. Internal communication should be a much higher priority.

I have been working at iPipeline full-time

    Pros

The company works hard to provide extra services and benefits for their employees, they employ many smart and talented people, they are committed to doing right by their customers.

    Cons

Very difficult to advance even when you deliver exceptional results, executive management team is not in alignment on key issues, services department is an extremely difficult environment to work due to long hours, shockingly high turnover, and little accolade.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Modernize the core product to reduce the stress on your services team.

I have been working at iPipeline full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Excellent career opportunities, access to latest technology, good people, friendly work environment, lots of access to extracurricular activities.

    Cons

I don't personally work in the professional services department but from an outsider view it looks like a sweatshop. Sometimes the things I hear from our developers are just scary. I am not sure where they find some of these people. I honestly trust the interns opinions more than our senior developers. Same thing with project managers, not sure where we are finding these people but we need to start looking elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start bringing in the Bob's(Office Space reference) when we keep purchasing these new companies. I get the idea behind the acquisitions but not always the products and people that are gained with it. Start shedding some older out of touch developers who can't keep up with the new technology. There are plenty of young kids out of college who can do twice the work of the some of the people just getting by making much more $$.

    Pros

Depending on where you land, it can be a great place to work. Some teams are tight knit groups, other teams are disaster areas.

    Cons

If you don't find the right spot with the right team for you, you will not last long

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People don't leave companies, they leave managers. If you have a lot of turnover it's time to look in the mirror

I have been working at iPipeline full-time

    Pros

    They care about employees; Growing business; Nice people, nice work environment, decent pay. Celebration of successes; employee perks; nice culture;

    Cons

Its like playing double dutch jump rope, you don't know when our how to jump in, but you're expected to do it and do it right. Fast moving; too much work for the resources. Care more about pushing something out the door and fixing it later.......rather than letting the customer wait for better quality. Lots of weekend work expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people; Know your employees workload, having 'only one carrier' does not mean they're not overwhelmed, that one carrier may have 7 projects going on!!!
Look into a documentum system to keep version control, everyone is working off different documentes!!

I have been working at iPipeline

    Pros

There are a lot of opportunities within the company. I believe overall most people enjoy working at here. If you are someone who is a go getter personality then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Growth has some organizational challenges but I think it work itself out. Not a place for someone who expects a steady 9 to 5 environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show you truly appreciate your employees, give them an opportunity own a part of the company.

I have been working at iPipeline

    Pros

I enjoy coming in to work every day because the work is challenging enough to keep me on my toes and my team is great. The range of products/projects and languages used across the company provides opportunities to learn new skills. My colleagues are fun to work with and provide perspective when working through solutions. It's a dynamic environment full of talented people.
The CEO remembers your name when he sees you and has a sense of humor, rather than being a suit that sits in an office all day with the door closed. He's easy to talk to and open to ideas.
Health benefits are good as is the wellness program.

    Cons

Any company growing as fast as iPipeline is right now is bound to hit growing pains. There is a department that is probably the fastest growing area - some of it's employees are working a lot of hours and the scramble prevents them from feeling appreciated. What's a little distressing is knowing that some of these employees have valid solutions to some of the problems they're experiencing in this, but struggle with implementing them.
