"What mistake have you made in the past, and what did you

  do to fix it?"

Of course nobody wants to admit their mistakes, especially at an interview, but of course we are only human and everyone makes them. I responded with a time that I accidentally checked someone in and their credit card imprint did not show on the bill because the credit card was flat faced. I explained that the General Manager at the time had to fix the error, because we aren't allowed to offer refunds or exchanges without getting permission. The only way I could fix it was to keep my eyes open and learn from the experience.
