i applied online for a ft supervisor position ac moore had open.i received a voicemail from the general manager to return his call to schedule an interview. my return phone call turned into the interview without my knowledge and i was offered minimum wage seasonal pt job.i have over 10 yrs customer service experience. he later left me a voicemail informing me it would be less than 20 hrs a wk with hours outside of my availability so i declined the offer

i declined because i wasn't interviewed for what i was looking for and the manager scheduled me for hours i stated on my application i couldnt work. i also noted on the online app i was NOT interested in pt or seasonal.

The interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Vestal, NY (took 3 days)
I emailed the company(applied online), and they set me up with an interview asap. The interview was very easy, but I also have a ton of experience. The assistant manager who interviewed me was extremely nice, and the whole thing was over pretty fast. Only one interview, then they called to hire me, but I had to decline or put the job on hold (so I'm pretty sure it's taken).

Reason for Declining
I declined because I was looking for a permanent position instead of seasonal. I had another interview for a permanent position 3 weeks ago at Wegman's, but they still haven't called me back yet. :( Had 3 separate interviews at Weggies, all went really well, still hoping and waiting to hear back from them.
Also, the rate of pay for seasonal associates was $7.75. (a little low for my 10 years experience in busy environments)

I filled in an application in person. The manager called me about a week or so later and asked me to come in for an interview. He asked me basic questions "What would you do if.." those kinds.. He then asked me why I had applied there, what skills I had.. If I had any experience. Then he said he would like to hire me.

Negotiate atleast 8.25 an hour. Since thats what seasonals are getting.

I was interviewed over phone and then in person. The process was the usual questions and answers. This is a no-brainer and basically, a monkey could do the job requirements... I worked there for about 5 months and hated it. I worked before the store opened and it was great. Setting up displays and products. This was great until the customers came in an ravaged the store like a pack of wolves. Customers and store management sucked. Once the store opened and upper level management left, everything went downhill fast.
