Internship Interview (Neutral Experience)
I applied through college or university and interviewed at ADM.
Interview Details – Applied via college career fair - scheduled an interview. Interview was behavioral - just getting to know you
Interview Question – Questions were pretty basic nothing technical Answer Question
Accountant Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
Interviewed at ADM
Interview Details – Met at a career fair. Was set up for an interview the next day. Interview was relaxed, pretty standard questions about strengths/weaknesses, career goals. Made it to next round of interviews at corporate. It was a group interview type process which was pretty intimidating
Director Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at ADM in May 2009.
Interview Details – Screened by HR Dept, inviting to come to headquarters for interview. Interview with V.P., Directors, and possibly CFO
Interview Question – Usually just questions about current job, prior experience, education, etc. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – none, take it or leave it
Senior Financial Analyst Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at ADM.
Interview Details – The process included two rounds of interviews. First, an initial interview on campus, for about 45 minutes, with a financial manager and a senior finance executive. The first interview included behavioral questions, as well as some basic corporate finance and accounting questions.
In about one week, I was called for a second round of interview, at ADM offices. The second interview included 3 interviews with six different people, two at a time, a case analysis, and a group presentation.
Interview Question – During the second round of interviews, the case interview was the most difficult part because of the time constraints, about one hour, and some unknown terminology, not necessarily finance oriented. Answer Question
Lab Technician Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and interviewed at ADM.
Interview Details – This job only required one day of interviews but there were four different interviews with four different people. later when applying for a promotion there was three different interviews.
one interview was a panel interview with about five mangers and was very relaxed and informal. then the other two interviews were with upper mangers and were much more difficult
Interview Question – lots of questions on how previous experience will make you a better employee Answer Question
Systems Administrator Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4 months - interviewed at ADM in May 2009.
Interview Details – Be prepared for a very, very slow process. The bureaucracy moves like a handicapped sloth. Lots of lag time between contacts and before offer made.
Interview Question – This is a very vanilla process depending upon the interviewer. Most of the questions are standard and not really difficult if you have ever interviewed with a large company before. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation and the pay wasn't great but it was reasonable for the EXPECTED job duties. Be prepared for the job to change at the drop of a hat.
Production Assistant Intern Interview (Neutral Experience)
I applied in-person and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at ADM.
Interview Details – The interview process to approximately one hour. Normal questions about situation, behavioral, and outcome where asked. No brain teasers. The interview was harmless and the interviewers do a nice job of setting a calm atomosphere.
Interview Question – Give a situation where you had to help someone understand a process. How did you go about teaching that certain individual? Answer Question
Assistant Commercial Manager Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at ADM.
Interview Details – Overall the company just wants to see if you will fit with the culture and be a good team player. The interview was very casual and was more to see if you could hold a conversation and get along with the staff.
Interview Question – Looking back on your college experience, what would you do differently? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Non-negotiable
Lab Tech Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 5 weeks - interviewed at ADM in November 2012.
Interview Details – I received a call to set up a phone interview about a week after submitting an application online. The phone interview was with the HR manager and head of the department. I was asked to come to the plant for an interview 3-4 weeks later with the same people. The interview process is pretty casual.
Interview Question – Can a supervisor make you work safer?
If the production line encountered some problem and sent over samples to be tested, would you process those samples or do the routine samples first? Answer Question
