I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Tucson, AZ) in February 2015.
2 Phone Interviews first was with a recruiter second was with the VP of sales. Both, interviews went very well looking for young and motivated people. This is something that I believe most companies look for in new associates. ADP wants someone who is young and motivated to sell.

1. Phone Screen (say you're money motivated, results-oriented, and talk confidently and ask to be moved forward). 2. 1v1 with VP (you must follow up STRONG after this interview). 3. 2V1 with Sales Executives (Don't give them any red flags - show your personality, too). 4. Ride Along, ask lots of questions and make sure you get the rep's recommendation 5.) role-play (make sure you ask the "client" lots of questions! The client will probably be the VP of sales. They are looking for personality, probing questions, and asking for the close. They won't let you close - they'll try and shut down anything you say. Try and stay strong). Was told that I did well and I should receive word if I get the job in a couple days - it's now the end of a couple days and I have received no word. ADP interviews a lot of people and they will show no respect for you or your time, so be prepared. You're going to have to kiss a lot of you know what to get this job, with lots of follow up emails after every step in the process.

I recently went thru the entire hiring process of becoming an Associate District Manager for Small Business Sales in the St. Louis area for ADP. I had a phone interview that went great. The recruiter then set me up for a face to face interview at their office in Sunset Hills. A few days later I had a face to face interview with one of the sales executive managers. That went great as well and was offered to go on a field ride. I went on my field ride the following week and that went pretty well also. The guy I rode with seemed pretty cool and was good at what he did. After the field ride I knew I could do the job. After the field ride I told my recruiter I wanted to move forward in the hiring process so he set up a second interview and role play. My second interview was with 2 executives from small business sales. Even though they were very stand-offish and robotic I thought that interview went well. I then proceeded to do a role play that consisted of me trying to sell ADP payroll services to them. During the role play they continued to answer open ended questions with closed ended answers such as no, yes and I don't know. I thought he was trying to see if he could make me sweat or break but he didn't. He made the sales call very difficult by not providing the answers to the questions I was asking. After seeing he wasn't going to allow me to close him I ended the sales call by scheduling a second appointment. After that interview/role play I then was told that they had another candidate to interview and I would hear something back by that Friday. I reached out to my recruiter and didn't hear anything back until almost a week later. I got a generic email saying that they chose to go with another candidate. Here are my gripes with the company: I) Throughout the entire process I never was able to reach any of the people I met with. I sent follow up emails and voicemails with no reply at all. I was fortunate enough to have a great recruiterwho prepped me for each stage and was my contact point throughout the entire process. I thought it was very unprofessional to send me a generic email after completing the entire process after promising me they would personally contact me a week earlier. 2) I created a professional portfolio (brag book) showcasing all of my sales achievements and awards and brought it to the interviews. The executives didn't even bother looking at it. . The portfolio showcased that I was a top seller and earner at my current employer but I guess that was irrelevant to them. 3) One executive specifically told me that I wasn't competing against other candidates. They were looking for qualified candidates and if I fit the description I would be hired. On the other hand another told me that I was up against another candidate. mixed signals 4) This position is ALWAYS being advertised. They are obviously looking for a certain type of person. Also there is very high turnover according to one of the reps. Thats a huge red flag there

Overall I would have to say, Interviewing with this company was a waste of time, energy and effort. In short they are unprofessional and rude. In my opinion it was one of the worst interviewing experiences I have ever had and unless you have cold calling experience do not even waste your time. The process consisted of a phone screen, a personality/intelligence test, an interview with a recruiter and regional VP, a ride along (whole day), and supposedly a role play. I got through to the supposed role play, however it was not a role play or if it was it was not a set up role play where they gave me a product to sell it. The only way I could make sense of it being a role play was there was one manager who was nice and one who was rude, unprofessional and arrogant. (maybe potentially acting like a client or customer you call on who doesn't give you the time of day! I had several experiences that ultimately turned me off to the company. Over hearing a manager cuss out a rep using the f word and all. Having the manager of the area I was interviewing for act like a rude hot shot who made me wait for my interview over an hour then tells me I caught HIM at a bad time. VERY POOR follow up.. basically I did all the follow up which was fine, its a sales job and I get in the job you will have to have good follow up skills. Overall- words to the wise- Have cold call experience. Know interviewing with this company is one big game... be pushy, be an arrogant, thats clearly what they like. Do all the follow up because they suck at it. Be on time, but know you will have to wait and wait and wait for your interviews. Know they are very disorganized and unprofessional, so don't expect much at all. Word to the company. A potential employee is interviewing you just as much as you are interviewing them. Anyone with a good head on their shoulders would be turned off by the way your present yourself and your company. Get you sh*t together and play the game like professionals would.
