During phone interviews they ask if you are confortable with commission only income and door to door sales. Also ask why you want to get into sales and what is the best way for you to generate leads. If they feel comfortable with your answers they set up a 1:1 interview with Director of Sales of the area. First thing he did was get a copy of my resume and mainly asked questions about my previous jobs. He asked me a few situational questions on how I would generate leads in my previous sales positions. Also asked what my motivation was to be in sales.

I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Applied on-line, Corperate Recruitier called for phone interview (20 minutes), he emailed me some .pdf's on compensation and company history. One hour later I recieved an email from the recruiter that an interview was set up for the next day. Face-toFace interview was basic and common (25 min), was sent for a drug test and 3 days later the job was offered. Smooth and fast process.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
Interviewed with sales manager, which was really trying to sell me on the job not the other way around. Told me average rep made $60,000-$70,000 per year 100% commission. I asked for verification on that and he told me I would have to "trust him on that" that was the first mistake iI made and we did not even finish the interview before he offered me the job. I accepted second mistake, and i have not even started working.
