This is an authorized dealer in PHX by the way, Alliance Protection Systems inc., not corporate ADT. Met recruiter, sent in resume, received two interviews. Some questions just regarding sales scenarios and personality. They are just looking for people they think will be assertive and wont quit right away once they see how terrible the job is. They advertise it as $400 commission per install. But really there is all sorts of requirements on a "point" system per sale you have to meet to get 400. Most of the reps take at least 100-200 or more out of their own commission to get the sale. quantity over quality I guess. When I got hired had to sign a paper saying I would get ZERO benefits of any type, which had been advertised for the job. Company car to drive around? 25% travel? Nope you have to use your own vehicle and its 100% travel based. They give the 3 or 4 company vehicles to the boss and the established reps. No vehicle allowance either as I had seen on other posts on this site. Save your time and their time and avoid this one.

Negotiation Details
No negotiation really, hirimg manager makes it seem like they wont hire you if you dont accept 100% commision. They are willing to pay you a "draw" from your future commission if you do not get a sale that week. They are looking for people that are willing to risk empty weeks so there is no risk to the company.

"Very in depth" Everyone was very nice from the phone interview to the interviewing manager. All the reviews are hard to digest. I mean they do a very deep back ground check they are interested in every detail about your past. I mean all the crap you hear about them hiring just anyone seems pretty far fetched with all the hoops they make you jump through to explain every summer job and every minute unemployed every second you were in school and not working. It seems as if the initial investment they are making is pretty high.

Interview went well. They like to hear you want to make money for you and the company. I liked that my main interview was with the highering manager. Meaning my boss was the one interviewing me. It did however take a little while to get the go ahead for the job.

Very easy interview: I was asked about my previous sales experience and problem solving skills. I was asked about my strenght and weaknesses. It was over in less than 20 minutes. it is commission only job so I guess they don't care to much. The turnover rate in their Sales department is huge.
