Phone interview
Super day of interviews - interview with 3 or 4 interviewers (usually employees who work in different functions). Many students were present to be interviewed. They had both an AM and PM session to allocate time to interview all the students. The students come from all around the country, even MIT students.
Interview Question – Very predictable questions. Just make sure you can reiterate your resume and explain everything on it with further detail. Answer Question

Interview Details – 1st round was on campus recruitment. Interviewers were two very friendly VPs, mainly behavioral questions. I had five interviews on the Superday, both behavioral and technical questions (probability, accounting, fixed income).

Interview Details –
My interview with AIG occurred in late March 2013. It was preceded by an "out-of-the-blue" phone call from an independent recruiting firm, with the recruiter indicating that she saw my LinkedIn Premium account, and noticing that I was in the midst of job searching. The time between that initial phone call and the actual interview was one week, because of the persistent efforts of the firm to secure the interview for me.
The interview process was mostly, "business as usual." When I first arrived in the Parsippany, NJ office, I was mistakenly taken to the Senior Manager's office first, and then correctly taken to the office of the relevant Functional Team Lead. We had a productive 30-minute discussion about my past work experiences, education, skills, and what I was looking for in AIG.
Following our discussion, I then interviewed with one of the Senior Manager. Many of the questions were similar, but there was certainly more discussion about the broader goals of that particular area of AIG. Many of the goals seemed in line with my expectations and desires (i.e. develop my general knowledge of SAP into a professional skill-set). He was also impressed with how I prepared a binder filled with artifacts displaying and describing my past accomplishments. The interview ended on cordial terms.
The time between that interview and the initial job offer was less than two weeks. By the end of March, I had a firm offer, and a higher starting salary than others in my position (again, due to the fantastic negotiating efforts of the recuiting firm).
My biggest recommendation for those interviewing with AIG is to Be Prepared. In my case, I brought a binder, which fleshed out my Resume by illustrating specific examples of my accomplishments. It helped me to tell my story of success, and certainly impressed the recruiters and interviewers.

Would you ever consider going back to teaching?
[Context: I was an experienced long-term substitute teacher with teaching certifications in Social Studies & English before 1) earning my MBA in 2012, and 2) then coming to AIG.]

Negotiation Details – The negotiation phase was handled by the independent recruiting company. They managed to negotiate a starting salary that was over 8% higher than average. That was made possible, because 1) I had an MBA, 2) I had prior work experience, and 3) I was one of the most prepared candidates that the recruiters and interviewers had ever met.

Interview Details – Not much of an interview really, just a discussion on where they are headed and me trying to extract more info from the hiring manager to see if it will be a fit for me
Negotiation Details – I got the base salary I was looking for after letting them know I had another offer coming.

Interview Details –
I was referred by a friend directly to the hiring manager. He called me, we had a brief conversation, and later that week a recruiter called me to set up an interview day. I met with HR recruiter first, she thought I was there for a different job that was open, which led to some confusion, but then she just asked me some simple questions about my experience and sent me on to meet the team.
I met with all 6 people, for about 30 minutes each, and it was largely conversational. They had good reference to my abilities, so they were clearly just making sure I was a good fit for the team.
I got a call the day after from the HR recruiter and she said everything went well and they would be extending me an offer, everything just needed to be approved. 2 weeks passed and I followed up and she said HR was finalizing the paperwork. Another week passed I called her back, and she said they were just finishing up internal interviews and would make a decision soon. ?!?! Directly in contrast to what she had told me previously. It was a roller coaster! Ultimately the offer came through and it was what I wanted.
Interview Question – Interviews were 100% behavioral and conversational. There were no challenging questions. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There wasn't any negotiation. The hiring manager had asked me for my salary requirements and they were right in the salary range. They offered, I accepted.

Interview Details – Applied through AIG Info Session at my University. They called me back after 2 weeks. First round was 2-to-1 interview, standard questions on resumè, nothing unexpected (why do you want to be an actuary, what do you know about AIG). They never called me back, not even to say we're not moving you on.

Interview Details – Applied through school career website. Two days later got an email as an invitation to an on-site interview. The HR told me that the interview would take up to three hours. But on that day, I only met HR herself and talked for 25 minutes. All behavirol questions
