Interviewed May 2009 in Marlton, NJ (took 2 months)
AIG wasted 2 months of my time. I did a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview. Then a few weeks later I did a panel interview which lasted 3 hours. The fun was just getting started. I then went to another state to interview with yet another manager. A couple weeks later the manager called to say I would be receiving an offer shortly. Then I got a call from HR quizzing me about my previous employment, as one firm that I worked for 9 years ago was no longer in business. I was told to dig up W2s and fax them to her, which I did. Then a week later I was told that my driving record was unacceptable, and I wouldn't be receiving an offer. I have no points on my license, no speeding tickets, but I was in 2 car accidents in 10 years. One was my fault, the other I was rear-ended. I was jerked around for another 3 weeks while they looked into it, then I got a screw you letter in the mail.

Interviewed Aug 2007 (took 4+ weeks)
My resume was submitted by a recruiter for this position. Then I had two phone interviews with two senior team member and invited to visited the company in LA. 3 1:1 interview with the team again and had a lunch with the manager. Since I was a fresh scinence phd without much finance knowledge and zero experience at all, most interview are quite generic and almost no technical question. I think is the point is ask the right questions which will show your interesting and capability to learn.

Interviewed Mar 2007 in Wilmington, DE (took 3 weeks)
Standard phone screen interview was followed by individual interviews with the full team. Not very tough.
Nice people, friendly but a bit concerned about the future of the Company (rightly so!).
Didn't want the job so withdrew. Not sure who they hired.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Phoenix, AZ (took 4 weeks)
Interview setting was a conference room, Interview by 5 people. All questions consisted were specific to my experience, no hypothetical questions: Tell me about a time you and a coworker disagreed on a project. Tell me about a time you had to influence people that were not among your direct or indirect reports. Everyone was very pleasant. then I took a personality exam, which took about 10 minutes and seemed easy, though I am unsure of the results.

Interviewed Oct 2008 (took 2 weeks)
Met with HR and then Manager of department. About 1.5 hours for total process and only met with manager for 20 minutes. Met with Director to interview for current position. They had already made the decision to make me a supervisor so it was very easy. Upward advancement due to turnover.
