Interviewed Jan 2011 (took a day)
I applied as a C++ consultant through the Monster jobs website for a particular position in other company. Alten contacted me first by email to check for my availability followed by a phone interview where I was asked questions about my professional career and my salary requirements.
Following this I went on-site to do technical interviews with the clients , one of which went quite well. The client was happy to work with me, so Alten toke me on board after a quick discussion about the conditions.

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I was called directly by one the business managers who found my cv on monster.
I had a first interview with him and two more with the directors.
Interviews were quite laid back cause we liked each other pretty soon.
I was offered the job after the interview and I accepted few weeks later.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
There were some basic skills which the interviewer wanted to confirm. They wanted to ensure I spoke Dutch, and that I had sufficient experience with certain programming languages such as C, C++, C#. Afterwards the interviewer discussed what the company did. This was just a screening interview, and this was followed up with a 1:1 interview.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Mougins (France) (took 1+ week)
I've been contacted by telephone, after they found my CV online and I've been presented with the company and the possible clients.
After setting up a brief telephone interview with the client, I've been invited to meet the client in person: after a successful meeting with the client, although no official confirmation of their acceptance, I've received a contract proposition that I was forced to sign (otherwise they couldn't proceed with the collaboration).
After few days the client gave its acceptance and I was officially hired by the company.

Negotiation Details
There wasn't much of a negotiation: when I tried to obtain more, since the salary seemed low to me (also in consideration of my experience) they simply gave me the alternatives to either accept or stay at home. Since at the moment I hadn't alternatives, I had to accept.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 2 weeks)
There were two rounds in the interview process. First round consisted in a 2:1 interview, with the manager supposed to be my boss, and one of his colleagues from another team. There were no specific questions but a simple review of my resume, and explanation of what the position was about.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
I've had 2 phone interview so far and received an invite for an onsite. The phone interviews were both with developers and consisted of some basic background questions. the 1:1 was a technical interview that lasted 60 minutes, after a few soft skills questions, they go right to the point and start throwing brain teasers and coding questions at you
