Interviewed Oct 2011 in Austin, TX (took 2 weeks)
Had 2 phone interviews with 2 different group members, mostly technical questions. Was originally scheduled for an on-site interview, then CEO change led to hiring freeze, thus process stopped here. Was told I may hear back in 30-45 days, but that has been surpassed. Interviews were somewhat difficult, but overall process was mostly positive.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Austin, TX (took 1 week)
First, I got a call from HR and asked for the my availability. The HR wasn't interested in giving out his email id for further contact. He told me he'll get back to me in order to set-up the interview with the interviewers.
After waiting for 3 days without any contact, interviewer from AMD suddenly called me out of no-where and started the interview process by asking questions related to my projects on resume.
Had a satisfactory interview with the interviewer who was also hesitant to give his contact details, still managed to take his email id in order to send him a thank you letter/ followup letter.
Even after weeks no one called/ notified me about my status despite my weekly follow-up.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Austin, TX (took 2 days)
I had two interviews on Skype, each of them an hour long. Both were mainly behavioral interview type, about my previous experiences and my interest in the position.
I received very good feedback in a very short period of time.
The offer was very competitive.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Austin, TX (took 2+ weeks)
This took a while. I applied on-line but ultimately was considered because a friend of a friend referred me. I felt good about the interviews though I had 5 in one afternoon. It seemed redundant in many ways....I was answering many of the same questions over and over.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Austin, TX (took 2 months)
Had two rounds of phone interviews and then was selected for an onsite interview. I was scheduled to meet with 8 people, each for an hour of the day, it was exhausting. The interview process went easy but afterwards they took forever to let me know the results. Overall a very poor job by the HR because he kept dragging out the results and wouldn't tell me.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
My current manager emailed me couple days ahead asking me if I'm available to work during Spring term. The phone interview was quickly scheduled 5 days later to give me enough time to prepare. The interview was mostly technical questions but also consists of soft skills questions and behavioral questions. The manager was honest about what the competition is like for the position as well as his expectations for a person at my position. Overall, it was a good experience. They made an offer couple days later and it's for continuing in Summer term as well.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Austin, TX (took 1 week)
One of the Senior Engineers mailed me to schedule a phone screen,I had phone screen the following day, interviewer was pretty nice ,most of the time he explained about the job ,and asked a few basic questions (how would you decide best P/N ratios for speed etc).
Onsite was scheduled a week after this .It consisted of 7 rounds 45 mins each.First one was totally on resume .Second one was on Electromigration ,IR drops.Third interviewer asked pretty basic questions about circuit design like wires ,coupling noise, interconnect speed ,variations in sram, sizing for sram.Fourth round consisted of questions on semi-custom digital design like implement three input NOR gate using two input nand gates, description of adders, state machine implementation .Fifth round was on basic device physics like band diagrams in inversion etc.Sixth round was on timing ,they will ask you to draw some kind of flip-flop and then the setup hold times related to it.The last round I wasn't asked much ,just general questions about the job ,and work place.
