Interviewed Apr 2012 (took 3 weeks)
I was contacted by HR via telephone to schedule phone interview. Phone interview conducted by HR personnel. Answered questions regarding typical day at work from last job, why I left last position etc. Was informed I would be contacted regarding personal interview. Contacted within within a week to schedule interview with manager. Manager informed me about responsibilities of the position, work environment and potential other opportunities within organization. Was told I'd be contacted. Received call about a week later to schedule second interview. Decided not to take it.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Virginia Beach, VA (took 5 days)
The security and HR staff was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is inviting and everyone that works there was nice. The recuirters work closely with candidates to help them understand the position and department you are interviewing. They are very meticulous about getting the candidate prepared for the interview.
Very informative interviews, they take time to explain the company prior to asking questions.
Recruiters will share good candidate information throughout to company to fill positions.

Negotiation Details
Not able to negotiate much especially when it comes to benefits. Be upfront with you planned vacation during your first 90-days - this is critical and you can loose your job if you take off. Also, depending on the position, need and manager flexiblity if you have 2-week vacation planned during the first 90-days it may risk getting a job offer.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
Applied online. Was screened by HR for about 10 mins via phone call. Had phone nterview with SVP about the position and then was referred on to the hiring manager. Met with the hiring manager in person for about an hour and was asked standard interview questions. They seemed more interested in how I got along with them instead of specific answers to the questions. The personalities and the office environment made me want to be there.

Negotiation Details
Vacation/Sick time isn't negotiable...but it is very generous to start with. Was able to start 3 weeks afterwards instead of the standard two weeks notice. Was able to counteroffer the initial salary offer.

usual interview question, also included some situational questions, how would you handle "doctors office calls for approval for (specific procedure)? how would you handle it? What info would you ask for?" Pretty easy obvious answers.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Houston, TX (took 3 weeks)
I would really be careful with this company....I applied for a claims analyst position and was called for a phone interview which went well and then i was scheduled for a 1:1 interview which went well....after that the recruiter called me and emailed me papers for the drug and background screening and also extended me an offer for employment which i happily accepted...i was told the 1st day would be Feb 6...so the penny pitching job i was on i quit..Well here's where things got bad in a hurry..after passing the drug test with no problems..the company Hire Right that they use for background checks submitted to them that i had a discrepency with the year of one of my previous employers from way back in 2002...so as a result of being basically one year off on the employment date..the recruiter and she knows who she is emailed me a letter rescinding my job offer even after they spoke with the previous employer over the phone which verified everything...needless to say that i was beyond livid cuz now im stuck without a job...i say that to say this...if anyone gets contacted by these people make sure that ur dates are accurate on your resume and application 100% because they will deny u employment here because of it they dont care if it was 15 years ago...and its very unfortunate...wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Virginia Beach, VA (took 4 weeks)
Only made it to initial phone interview with HR, when we just took time to go over the online application asking exactly what I had already typed in and then a few questions surrounding what would I do in the job. Great friendly manner from interviewer. Few weeks lapsed before email informed me they were focusing on other candidates. Sorry not to have hit the mark, but it was very nice to get closure at least!

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Virginia Beach, VA (took 2 days)
The first day we had dinner at their corporate building in Virginia Beach. There was 34 candidates and about 20 executives/employees. The CEO and CO talked to us and we also had time to mingle with different candidates and employees and ask about the company. At the end of dinner they gave us a case study. Ours wasn't technical and most just included identifying problems inside a business especially with the leadership. The next day we were separated into groups based on the color of our name badge and asked to do the case study as a group of five and in 2 hours answer all questions and give a 15 minute presentation. During the case study they seemed most interested in how you worked in a group with a time constraint and not as much on the actual presentation. Also in the middle of the case study they removed one member for about 45 minutes and then had her re-enter the group right before the presentation to see how the group dealt with the disruption. After we talked to current people in the program, toured the building, and had lunch. The second part of the interview consisted of 4 half hour interviews with one or two interviewers. All of the questions were background and behavioral. They all asked very similar questions mostly along the line of " tell about a time you planned/managed a project and how you dealt with difficulties surrounding it." The interviewers seemed to want to make sure you had lots of different experiences and could so different characteristics. They also asked questions about leadership techniques and why you wanted to work at Amerigroup. The interviewers also seemed interested in whether you had done your homework and had good questions about the company. Overall it was a long day 7:15 am -4 pm, but nothing was to difficult and everyone there was very friendly and helpful.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Hanover, MD (took 4+ weeks)
There were two interviews. Both interviews were conducted by the Human Resources Manager. The first interview was a phone interview. She went over my work history and education. Then, she explained what the company was about. The second interview was a face to face interview. When I arrived, I was greeted by the kind receptionist and was told to wait patiently. On the second interview, the HR Manager asked only two questions that were already asked during the phone interview. Then, she gave a five page booklet with all of the benefits of working at the company. The bulk of the second interview was simply going over the the booklet. I was told I would receive a response within one week, but I received a rejection email that was over one week after the interview. The entire process was immensely unprofessional. The interviewer was conspicuously laughing during both interviews. I was also insulted because she gave a booklet with all the benefits, yet she refused to hire me. It was like she was saying "here is a list of benefits that you will never have."
