Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. It was basically to cross check the information given in the resume. No behavioral or technical questions were asked. I was asked whether I had taken course or did projects on the specific area of practice. I felt that the knowledge that they expected was way too specific for an MS graduate. The position was in the east coast and they said relocation assistance will not be provided. The interview took almost 30 minutes.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
The interview itself was very straight forward. Mostly behavioral questions based on my resume were asked. This was a general on-campus interview, however there was very little follow-up in terms of placement. Although, I did reach out to the recruiter about several positions, hiring managers were slow to respond which kept their hands tied.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Highlands Ranch, CO (took 3 weeks)
I initially found the position through a recruiter on LinkedIn, then realized this is a company a friend of mine works for. With both of their names on the online application, I received a request for an initial phone interview within 3 days of applying.
The phone interview went over the basics of the position and indicated no relocation assistance would be offered. Since I was already relocating to the area, I told them this would be fine. About four days later, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview. At the time, I was out of state, so needed to make travel arrangements in order to do so. As with the relocation assistance, I was told they would not be able to assist with my travel expenses to interview in-person. I inquired into doing an online meeting and was told in-person would be better. I made my travel arrangements and completed the hard copy application I had to print for the interview.
I arrived at the main office and waited to speak with the Director. After introducing myself, she introduced me to another employee who would be participating in the interview. I spoke with him in general terms, while she ran an errand, and then we progressed to the main interview. They had basic behavioral questions to ask - what's your leadership style, how do you handle conflicts with employees - and also some general statements regarding the overall office, the direction they were going, and the specifics of the position. The interview lasted for over an hour and I was told they had some others to interview and were hoping to have a decision made by that Wednesday. Overall, I felt the interview went well and that, should I not be selected for this position, future opportunities were available.
I waited until that Friday to call the Director to inquire about their decision. The next Monday, I sent an email. A week later I called again and sent another email. (It's now 2 weeks post-interview.) Mid-week I received a canned response from the Director thanking me for my time and the selection of another candidate. Approximately two weeks after that, another position I more closely matched was posted with a local candidates only indicator. I contacted the Director asking about the position and stating I was very interested in working for ARCADIS and was it possible for my application to be considered. I waited a week, didn't hear anything, and applied any way. I recently received notice that I was not selected for this position either.
I find the lack of communication post interview to be disturbing and unprofessional. I don't feel it's too demanding to know where you stand in the process or expect a reply to inquiries after you have met with someone in person. At this point, I would not recommend anyone apply for a position with this company.
During the same time I was interviewing, a friend of mine was interviewing for another position within ARCADIS. She, too, faced the same silence post-interview. It took her over one and a half months to receive a reply to her emails and phone messages. She, too, was not selected for the position for which she interviewed.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Indianapolis, IN (took 1 week)
I applied online for the open recruiting of environmental engineers and scientists (College recruitment) and was contacted by a corporate recruiter. Worked with recruiter to find a location that fit my desired career direction and geographical preference. He came up with Indianapolis and moved to set up a phone interview. This process alone took quite awhile, as we went through a few prospective locations before Indianapolis came up. I had a phone interview with a HR admin and two engineers. Phone interview went great, lasted 30 minutes. Not difficult, just questions about my experience, education, and other things on my resume. Also questions about what I was interested in doing. They asked me to come down for an in person interview. That happen the same week. In person interview was a group interview. It was very relaxed, easy questions about the same topics as the phone interview. I had about 6 people meet with me at once, sounds intimidating but it wasn't at all. The interview lasted about 2 hours, sounds long but it wasn't a grilling. I left feeling great and wanting to work there, I got an offer about a week later or so. If you want to work for ARCADIS your in luck, they are hiring. Apply online over and over, I am serious eventually they will give you a call. The company is great and the culture is very relaxed and enjoyable. They are doing great as a company and treat their employees well.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I had a couple of phone interviews, then they had me over for an on-site interview.
Best interview experience I have had during this job search. They were interested in actually hiring someone, and they hadn't already picked a candidate (like my two previous interviews). I was impressed with the company and the happiness of the employees. They did not ask me any silly technical questions, they just tried to see if I would be a good match for the office.

Salary was, as always happens to be the case, lower than I expected. I originally asked for something in the upper end of the salary range reported here on Glassdoor. I ended up being offered the average salary. I did not make a counter offer. I assume that the upper-end of salaries reported here are not by new hires.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Cranbury, NJ (took 3 weeks)
First, phone screening by the HR. Last for 11min with simple and typical interview questions, such as why do you apply, what's your career plan.
Then, only several days later, I was informed for a phone interview with the recruiting team. It lasted 30 min, 3 interviewers. Most of the questions are based on my resume. Besides, they asked something like what's the difference between working for government agency and company.
Again, less than one week I was at the on-site interview which should be the last round for this opening. I was interviewed by 6-7 people at that office, through office head and staff engineer. At the end, the chief said something about comforting me. Then I realized I was there maybe just to be a sacrifice for there hiring ppl ratio. They must already had someone on hand by then.
Disappointed. But still, it's a good experience.

Interviewed May 2009 in Atlanta, GA (took 1 week)
Friend sent me open position - I sent my resume directly to his supervisor, who called within a day. Interviewed with two supervisors (one was an admin supv, one was task/project supv for the dept). They asked general questions about my resume / skills - I felt like the task/project supv tried to trip me up about one of my previous positions but I answered to the best of my ability. Interview lasted 30 minutes; the admin supv took me through a short tour of the cubical jungle. I sent thank yous the next day. Got a follow-up call from my friend telling me that for corporate reasons, I had to submit through official channels so that they could move the paperwork through; did so and they called me with a formal offer within a week.

This was my first experience with a salaried position so I did a lot of research ahead of time, and tried to figure out a few strategies. Before I could ask what range the position has, they asked what salary I would expect. I gave them a range of my own -- they nodded and wrote it down and didn't say anything further. When they called me with the formal offer, they quoted the higher end of my range, which made me feel simultaneously like I had won that battle *and* was too chicken to try to negotiate for anything higher.

Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
The first interview was fairly straightforward--asking me about some of the points already listed on my resume. The second one went well, but lasted for a while--it was about an hour long. They gave me a hypothetical situation in which I needed to explain how I would find information about a given site. They commended my answer as being resourceful.
