Interviewed Nov 2010 in San Jose, CA (took 1+ week)
I received a phone call from the hiring manager and had a short discussion to come in for an on-site interview in the ARM Physical IP Division. I first met with HR, followed by 8 engineers. All interviewers were pleasant to speak with; most asked a combination of behavioral and technical questions.
I came away with a good impression of ARM. I did not receive an offer, as they were looking for someone with more experience.

Interviewed Nov 2008 (took 3 weeks)
I was interviewed by one of the top principal engineers in ARM, a very knowledgeable person. There were two people interviewing me , they asked mostly technology questions. The whole process was relaxed and they made me feel at home immediately. They were casual and gentle in asking questions, and helped me in places i got stuck.
They had a list of errors in code and asked me to debug it on paper, it was a nice exercise, and helped me to prove myself. The answers i gave there were the ones that probably impressed them and i was given an offer after that.

Negotiation Details
There wasn't much negotiation involved, I accepted the offer fairly quickly as I wanted to get into ARM since long time. Being in new country and this being my first job here, I was happy to be offered the position. The salary was industry standard and met my expectations.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.
