Network Processes and QA Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at AT&T (Austin, TX) in August 2010.

Interview

Long process short interviews. I did have an inside track as an outside candidate compared to the internal candidates. I was more experienced and educated while the internal candidates saw the position as a way to get off the phones.

Interview Questions

Negotiation

Bad, next to no negotiable room. Was able to negotiate 5k extra but I have learned that the original offer was the bare minimum and the extra 5k was the max I could have gotten without VP approval and they don't like to hire outside so it would have been denied and the position not offered to me otherwise.
