Declined Offer – Interviewed in Clifton Park, NY Mar 2013 – Reviewed May 1, 2013

Interview Details – The interview process was really straight forward and relatively informal. We E-Mailed specifying a time to meet and I came to the office where we sat down and basically just had a conversation about AXA and about me as a candidate. Really informative and open about the system. I enjoyed the interview because it was not pressured and provided me more of an opportunity to ask questions and get to know my interviewer and AXA in general.

Interview Question – No really difficult questions for me, we just had a conversation. It was less questions more speaking back and forth.   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – I was looking for more opportunities that highlighted my skills and what I wanted to do. Competitive offer but not what I was looking for at the time.

Reason for Declining – Didnt want to make a book of business

Accepted Offer – Reviewed Apr 15, 2013

Interview Details – Hiring process was essentially a breeze. The only thing the hiring manager cared about was if you could become "contracted". This means, once you are licensed, you meet a certain commission level to be officially brought on board. The level is fairly easy to obtain, but this type of business opens its doors to all. They throw everyone out to the wolves and see you sticks.

Interview Question – No difficult questions. It was just an open conversation about family, school, hobbies, and minimal about the company or industry.   Answer Question

Interview Details – I met the VP of the local branch and had a long conversation with him at a job fair. Then, I have received initial contact through an email to set up an official interview. The interview was a formal, 1-on-1 meeting with the VP. He mainly asked about any questions I had about the firm and position itself.

Interview Question – What kind of questions do you have about AXA Advisors financial advisor position?   Answer Question

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Buffalo, NY – Reviewed Mar 30, 2013

Interview Details – This is a drawn out process...at least three interviews. Relatively low pressure interview style. Get the impression that employees are DEFINITELY expected to connect to their natural market (meaning...call your friends and family). Advisors were friendly, and the office seems pretty busy.

Interview Question – Honestly, AXA did not ask unexpected questions. The process was almost too easy, which makes me nervous.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Must show why you add value or are worth more than "Joe" down the hall.

No Offer – Reviewed Feb 27, 2013

Interview Details – Interview was a joke, lasted about 10 minutes and the person interviewing me basically just told me that if I got hired, I would be on my own to start contacting family friends, school alumni, professional contacts, etc. and offer them AXA's financial products.

Interview Question – Who would you contact to offer AXA's services to on day 1 if you are hired?   Answer Question

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Jan 2012 – Reviewed Feb 26, 2013

Interview Details – Had 3 interviews each of them they were weeding out a pool of people to end up selecting 2.

First Interview was the basic get to know you getting to know the company and why I want to be in this line of work. I was called back for a second where we discussed the program and the compensation. Also discussed how we approach clients and personal experiences with the firm

Was called back for a third interview where I was told to think of a target market I would go to if I was hired and then I met with the Branch Head. He was a very smart individual who liked truthful answers and not the typical responses. I was offered the position a week later now I am in the licensing portion before I become on contract with the firm

Interview Question – The questions were all really standard only question you need to really consider is where do you see yourself in 5 years. Be as detailed as possible   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Your just about on Commission from day 1 so for those who don't have a nest egg to start your own practice dont consider AXA. You pay for your licensing about (800) which get reimbursed to you 70% once you pass all the exams.

From there you get paid several weeks a salary while your in a product training program. Once you pass this process you would be offered either commission+B (reduced commission of course) or Commission. Either way every year your salary gets reduced and your commission payout increases. Then one the 3rd year your salary goes away and your on full commission.
