Financial Professional at AXA Advisors

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Chandler, AZ Nov 2011 – Reviewed Jun 9, 2013 New

Interview Details – After an informal interview, you do a personality test and some other basic paperwork.
If it's for commission sales, they are so desperate they will hire pretty much anyone. It helps if you have a history of fraud and corruption.

Interview Question – No curve balls from the interviewer. Again, they want as many hires as possible.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – If you are given an offer from this company, run the other way. Do not take it!

Sales at AXA Advisors

No Offer – Reviewed Jun 7, 2013 New

Interview Details – Standard first interview. The interviewer seemed to do most of the talking and introduced the company and the position. It seemed as if he was interested in getting the right person. While I learned more about the position, I realized I was not interested in it. Nevertheless, the interviewer was very friendly.

Interview Question – Do you watch baseball?   Answer Question

Sales at AXA Advisors

No Offer – Reviewed May 24, 2013

Interview Details – Went to the first interview when AXA came to our college fair to recruit. The people were incredibly nice and friendly and honest about the position -- that is, that sales is not for everyone. They told me what they expected (entrepreneurship, social skills, ability to make small talk, build relationships, etc.) and I realized sales was not the field I was interested in.

Interview Question – First interview -- they didn't provide questions. Rather, the interview was a get-to-know-you and the interviewer provided information about the company.   Answer Question

Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Clifton Park, NY Mar 2013 – Reviewed May 1, 2013

Interview Details – The interview process was really straight forward and relatively informal. We E-Mailed specifying a time to meet and I came to the office where we sat down and basically just had a conversation about AXA and about me as a candidate. Really informative and open about the system. I enjoyed the interview because it was not pressured and provided me more of an opportunity to ask questions and get to know my interviewer and AXA in general.

Interview Question – No really difficult questions for me, we just had a conversation. It was less questions more speaking back and forth.   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – I was looking for more opportunities that highlighted my skills and what I wanted to do. Competitive offer but not what I was looking for at the time.

Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors

Accepted Offer – Reviewed Apr 15, 2013

Interview Details – Hiring process was essentially a breeze. The only thing the hiring manager cared about was if you could become "contracted". This means, once you are licensed, you meet a certain commission level to be officially brought on board. The level is fairly easy to obtain, but this type of business opens its doors to all. They throw everyone out to the wolves and see you sticks.

Interview Question – No difficult questions. It was just an open conversation about family, school, hobbies, and minimal about the company or industry.   Answer Question

Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors

Declined Offer – Reviewed Apr 14, 2013

Interview Details – I met the VP of the local branch and had a long conversation with him at a job fair. Then, I have received initial contact through an email to set up an official interview. The interview was a formal, 1-on-1 meeting with the VP. He mainly asked about any questions I had about the firm and position itself.

Interview Question – What kind of questions do you have about AXA Advisors financial advisor position?   Answer Question

Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in New York, NY Mar 2012 – Reviewed Apr 1, 2013

Interview Details – Applied through school's career website, was then contacted over the phone by AXA representative. Then scheduled a time for interview. It was a group interview. Basic questions asked, etc. It is really nothing to worry about. Just do your research. Know what the company does, and you will be fine.

Interview Question – The questions are really basic. Like "what do you want to get out of this internship" etc.   Answer Question

Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Buffalo, NY – Reviewed Mar 30, 2013

Interview Details – This is a drawn out process...at least three interviews. Relatively low pressure interview style. Get the impression that employees are DEFINITELY expected to connect to their natural market (meaning...call your friends and family). Advisors were friendly, and the office seems pretty busy.

Interview Question – Honestly, AXA did not ask unexpected questions. The process was almost too easy, which makes me nervous.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Must show why you add value or are worth more than "Joe" down the hall.

Financial Consultant at AXA Advisors

No Offer – Interviewed in Columbia, MD Feb 2013 – Reviewed Mar 26, 2013

Interview Details – Four interview process:
1st interview was essentially a joke, they hardly asked me any questions about myself, mainly tried to "sell" me on the position. I may be wrong, but I thought you were supposed to sell yourself in an interview?
They then performed a background check and called me for a 2nd interview about 3 weeks later. I declined.
Interviewers seemed to be very well versed in the goals of their company, as I said, they tried to sell me on them.
Overall environment was very friendly.

Interview Question – All pretty straight-forward. They asked why I was interested in the financial services field.   Answer Question
