Interviewed Nov 2009 in London, England (took a day)
I was lucky to be interviewed by a consultant and not an HR robot. She was very friendly and helped put me at ease. The interviews focused around your bog standard competency based questions, followed by a really simple mini-case study. Unfortunately my interest was in strategy, yet she had said at the outset that 'I'm assuming that you're here for technology'. I think Strategy must have been full already by that point so I basically shot myself in the foot.

This was the initial screening interview. I was asked why I was interested in this particular position. I was asked about my skill sets. I was asked to describe certain situations and past projects.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took 2 months)
First round started with a current analyst asking me if I had questions - I was nervous so i didn't but went to her afterwards and she was really great to talk to. The interviewer was a current employee who was very nice and outgoing. Basically the whole interview had me walk her through my resume and what were some important experiences. She asked me a few details about some experiences I was talking about, but that was it, lasted 30 minutes.
Second round interview was 45 minutes. Started with a group of current employees (analysts and consultants) waiting in the lobby to chat and ask questions with. Again, the interviewer was extremely nice and outgoing, very easy to talk to. Had 3-4 behavioral questions then a 15 minute case study.

Interviewed May 2007 (took a day)
I was hired on a contract. I knew the Senior Executive that ran the department. I contacted him for networking purposes as I was looking for a new role at the time. We went to lunch, had a chat and he offered me a contract. I was brought in as a SME (subject matter expert).

Interviewed Jun 2007 in Chicago, IL (took 2 days)
Fairly 'by the book' phone screen interview about college performance, skill set, standard initial screening questions. Face to face interview with manager went well but no follow-up interview or offer. I spoke to my friend who helped me to get the interview and said they went with someone within the firm.

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Chennai (took a day)
There was an initial written test to short list the candidates who appeared for the company. The ratio was about 3:10 who cleared the written to no. who attended. Then the shortlisted candidates were sent to a Group Discussion Exercise among small groups to test their communication skills.
Then there was a technical interview. It had questions in networking and C++. People who cleared this test were sent to a HR interview after which the candidates were given their offers. I was among the 172 people who were given offers. Totally around 1200 people attended

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Los Angeles, CA (took 2 days)
The first round is basically just going over your resume. The second round consists of specific behavior questions. Overall, the experience was good. While waiting in the lobby, they have young consultants sit there and chat with you, which made the company more personable.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in San Antonio, TX (took 2 days)
The first phone interview seemed like they were just trying to get a feel for who you are, as it was mostly talking about yourself, then about Accenture and the benefits that they offer their employees. The next day, I had the skills interview, which I thought went really well. I answered all of the questions that they asked immediately and to the best of my ability. I got one question about databases wrong, but it was just a mix-up of terminology...the conceptual aspect of my answer was correct. After the interview finished, the original recruiter contacted me and told me to fill out a security clearance form and fax it to them, which I did promptly. I didn't hear from them for a few days after that, so I called the original recruiter and he told me that they were no longer interested. It's kind of weird because I have a clean record and I'm 95% sure that my responses to the skills interview went very well.
