i was working for accenture technology solutions and managed to get myself transferred to accenture consulting. this is typically not possible, however with the backing from a previous project manager and a managing partner, i got myself a shot at getting an interview with 2 senior managers and 1 other managing partner

salaries and levels were generally not negotiable, one minimum you think you could negotiate for is to be under consideration for early promotion.
