Phone interviews with recruiter, sr. recruiter, two with hiring manager; 1:1 interview with senior manager. Took a very long time and was well worth the wait. They will keep moving toward a decision when you have a competitive offer.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 6 months)
I talked to a few Accenture recruiters over the process of six months, and interviewed in total three times for different groups. The first two/three rounds of interviews were via phone, one skill or two skill, another behavioral, and then a final meeting with a sr. exec. The tone and range of questions is within the same boundaries across all discussions, but there were differing levels of rapport. The offices are beautiful, and all that I met seemed genuinely happy to work for Accenture and very positive with regards to their experience.

Reason for Declining
I was very very interested in joining Accenture, unfortunately their compensation was about 20% out of the market. There was no way they could meet the gap to bring their offer in line, so I declined. I'm not sure they can compete with market for experienced hires.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4+ weeks)
1 hour phone interview with a manager on generic consulting, talk about skills and experience
3 hours onsite- 1 hour competence test, essentially there is a cas study that you look through, and a list of questions (depending on your background). 1 hour interview with Senior Executive about scernario, with a list of questions, some that are outlined some are there to test your ability to think on your feet, and under pressure. 1 hour interview with HR, this is where the salary is determined as they will be more about your experience as a consultant, and expectations.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Singapore (Singapore) (took 6 weeks)
Accenture have a strong interview process that includes a series of interviews with different levels within both the industry (eg. Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Telecoms...) specific to the role and function within the role (eg. Strategy Consulting). This method allows different perspectives of the interviewees talents from a growth, capability and delivery stand point.
The case interview is where most candidates stumble.... This is only really relevant for Management Consulting roles but was used throughout the company as a way to assess how a candidate thinks about certain business issues and how structured the answer is.
All round great interview process.... Long but structured......

Negotiation Details
Not much scope for negotiation with Accenture. This is not a bad thing as all employees sit within the same parameters.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 6 weeks)
I applied online. There was 1 presentation session (on the firm, its culture, etc.). It was followed by 2 interviews (1 + 2 hours) with the hiring Senior Manager. Then there was a personality test, as the basis for an interview with 2 representatives from the Human Resources department. After that there was an interview (including a case-study presentation) with the hiring Partner. All participants were very polite and professional. Unfortunately they meant that I was too ambitious for them, i.e. they felt that their bureaucratic structure and promotion practices would cause me to leave in future!

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
It was an expected process. There was an initial interview with the recruiter. Pretty straight forward, they asked me about my experience and expectations. The two phone intervierws were technical knowledge and situational interviews. The situational interiew was taken by a person who was certified in some Interviewing process. The technical interview was taken by a manager. Nothing too complicated.
The final confirming interview was with a partner and was an informal discussion of sorts about goals, Accentures business model, the organization and products. Went pretty smooth.

Be clear in terms of what is the minimum you expect. When they ask you about what you are expecting make sure you give them the best number you have in your mind.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 3 weeks)
First initial interview (phone) was with the recruiter who assessed if my skills and experiences fit the consulting manager position that they're looking for. The 2nd interview (phone) was with a senior manager who conducted the Situational Interview. It was challenging but very positive. The interviewer was very professional. The next day I heard the feedback from my recruiter. The 3rd interview (phone) was with another senior manager to assess my skills and knowledge. This was a fun interview for me as I was able to relate a lot of my experiences with the interviewer. We had a very good conversation and went overtime. They gave me the feedback the next morning that I'm moving on to the final interview. Final interview was a face-to-face meeting with a partner from the Chicago office. It was the best interview I've ever done. Very honest and it ended up more like a discussion than a Q&A session. I had the interview in the morning, and in the afternoon, I got a call from the recruiter saying that they would like to offer me the position. In all, a very positive experience. It moved very fast and was very organized.

Consider that as an experienced hire, you are generally making more money than the people (at your level) who started their career in Accenture. So, leave a little bit of flexibility for negotiation. If you ask too much, generally, they will decline.
