Interviewed Nov 2009 in Washington, DC (took 4+ weeks)
A long, drawn out process. There were multiple phone interviews. Two phone interviews with Accenture technical recruiter. One interview with a manager. Another face to face interview with a senior manager. All in all the interview process could have been much shorter. I think after one phone interview I could have had an in person interview. Other local, competing consulting firms interview and decide on candidates in one day. The interviews were not challenging. Most of the material covered during interviews involved me telling them about my field of experience and my career goals. I only had to answer a few very general technical questions around project management and client engagement.

Negotiation Details
As an experienced consultant, I was able to negotiate for a salary range, but prepared that whatever salary range you give, you will get the lower number in your range for salary. I was given a small, $5000 signing bonus.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 4 weeks)
The interview with the recruiter was easy - all he was doing was checkign to see whether I fulfilled the 'bullet points' on the Job requirements. No in depth questions and he did a great job of guiding me through the process.
The Phone interview is a standard interview and consists of 3 behaviorial questions, its not very conversational but it helps the company maintain the same interviewing standards throughout the country. The in person interview was with a Sr Manager and a Senior Executive. The Sr Manager was friendly and conversational but at the same time detailed with his questions - covering a whole range from low level questions (have you done testing etc) to high level - how do you manage clients etc. The Sr Executive interview was straight forward and only invovled him going over expectations of working with the firm
Negotiation Details
As someone with solid prior experience, I felt that some of the experience is discounted - in terms of the role and the offer and later when you are being staffed on the projects. The expectation is that you will learn the 'Accenture' way and rise to the next level

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Tampa, FL (took 3 months)
The interview process began by submitting a resume to campus career center to determine if you would receive a screening phone interview. Once accepted, a screening interview is completed by a manager within the company to find out more information about you as a person and how you handle situations. If you pass, you will then be given an on-campus interview with the HR recruiter which is behavioral based in hypothetical situations and experiences based on your resume. Lastly, you will be given an opportunity for an office visit where you will go through panel interviews to determine if you will be a good fit with the company and fit the business need.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Philadelphia, PA (took 6 weeks)
Applied through college recruitment database and Accenture's website. First interview was on campus, was one on one and very laid-back. Took about 20-30 minutes, basically just talked about my resume and the position. Second interview (also on campus) was the following week, behavior based, took about an hour. The final interview was in the Philadelphia office. It consisted of a presentation of the company with new hires that were more than happy to answer any questions. And two one on one interviews that were relatively laid back but included some behavior based questions.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
The first round from school is really if the person likes you or not. The guy took one look at me, scuffed, and then motioned for me to come in. I was dressed in a suit (as were all the other candidates), shaved (as were all the other candidates), and had my hair combed to the side (as did all the other candidates). I'm not sure why he didn't like me off the bat, but look out.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
I submitted a resume through a friend who works at Accenture. A few weeks later I received an email requesting a time that was good for a phone interview. This interview was mostly gathering information from my resume asking a few questions. The next round was a phone interview as well this time it was a behavioral interview.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Los Angeles, CA (took 2 months)
I initially applied online through my University's Career Center Website (standard resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript submission online).
Had my first initial interview (on-campus career center) 1 month later. It was very brief - 30minutes 1:1 interview with a manager (she'd just been promoted). It was very casual and essentially a very quick run-through of my resume. She picked out certain things I'd put down (some classes I'd taken over the summer, my previous internship experience, how I liked my major, etc). Then she gave me some time to ask her questions.
Was notified 2 days later via email that I'd made it to the 2nd round. The 2nd interview was scheduled for the next day (quick!) - exact same format as before (career center) except this time it was 1 hour instead of 30min. It was a 1:1 interview with a much higher-up manager. Mine had been with the company for 10 years. This interview was definitely way more intensive. She only asked 4 questions or so but really delved deeply into my responses - interrupting me several times per response ('hold on let me stop you right there..let's talk more about why ____") and she wrote down everything that I was saying.
This was definitely standard across the board for everyone (asking in-depth clarifying questions, interrupting every so often, writing down responses).
The questions themselves weren't so difficult but it's definitely worth preparing for so you don't waste time trying to think of a significant experience to talk about (the more recent the experience, the better) and you want to make sure you have enough to say.
For both on-site interviews, they had greeters in the lobby who had people they were assigned to talk to (answer any questions, provide general encouragement) - they were very nice and definitely don't pass up this opportunity to speak with them.
I was notified the following morning via email that I had made it to the final interview - which was going to be on-site, scheduled for the following week (Friday).
On Monday - everyone who'd passed to the 3rd round received an invitation to an Accenture meet-and-greet recruiting dinner. It was a very casual event where a number of Accenture employees (some recent hires and others who'd been with the firm for a long long time, and the recruiter) were all there to answer questions and also got to know us a little better.
For the final interview - once everyone had arrived at the office, all of us were given lunch and watched a brief presentation about the company put on by some of the employees. Then we all started our 2 back-to-back 1hour 1:1 interviews with executive manager/senior partners of the firm.
Each interviewer was given a sheet of paper with questions that they were supposed to ask - they were still behavioral but it was less intensive than round 2. They didn't interrupt and the interviews were more conversational. They spent a little more time talking about their background and experience with the firm.
For me personally, my first interview was a slam dunk - I really clicked with the interviewer although I could sense that he wasn't very satisfied with his job (he complained about having to still travel a ton to places that he didn't like even though he's been with the firm for more than 12 years).
My second interview was with a senior partner who decided to forgo the sheet completely and ask whatever questions that came into his head. I felt the sense right off the bat that he didn't click with me and had this elitist attitude that really turned me off - asking me questions like "what do you think we do on a daily basis" and "why consulting" and feeling the need to criticize my responses.
After both interviews, we all came back as a group and then were told that we'd hear back in 1 month.
Found out via email about 3 weeks later that I hadn't been given an offer (but I don't know anyone else from my school who did either - despite their great interview experiences).

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Reston, VA (took 1 week)
The interview was very relaxed. It was the 1st round so the interviewer told me about Accenture and her background. The interviewer then went on to ask questions discussing the courses I had taken and my extra curricular activities. It was not very technical or intense. I thought it didn't go as well as I thought, but I got a 2nd round interview.

Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
I submitted my resume and cover letter through my university career services center, and got a first-round interview. This was fairly surprising, since my background is in biology. The first-round interview was only half an hour long, and consisted primarily of conversation concerning the key points of my resume and what exactly consultants do. The interviewer asked me to tell him how the skills I've developed during my university studies were transferrable to consulting. He also asked what role technology had played in my various experiences, since the interview was for a Systems Integration position. Although the interviewer seemed relatively impressed, I did not move on to the second round.
