Interviewed Mar 2012 in Santa Monica, CA (took a day)
There were 2 30minute interviews with 2 people each. They wanted to know about excel experience, real life accounting application work, and seemed to want accounting majors over finance majors. 2 of the interviews were super cold about it, while the other 2 seemed very nice.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Santa Monica, CA (took 4+ weeks)
I spoke with a total of 6 people over a month. The first was a phone interview with HR. Pretty standard. My first in-person meeting was with three directors, one of which was the person for which I would have been working. Two of the meetings spent most of the time covering my background, work experience, why I wanted to work for the company, etc. The third was a case question. Though it was challenging, the interviewer had an agenda for the question and would not accept an alternative method to reach an answer. Frustrating, but apparently I did well enough to move on. In the following weeks, I meet with two Sr. VPs. Both were friendly and went well. Despite phone calls and e-mails, I didn't hear anything for another month before hearing the news the job went to someone else. I found out the company had another round of layoffs which may explain the silence.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Santa Monica, CA (took a day)
Activision was recruiting for a Brand Manager MBA Summer Intern at my business school. The interview was 1:1, each lasting 30 minutes. The first interviewer focused on behavioral/fit questions while the second focused mostly on marketing case questions. The interviewers were very friendly and conversational. I had met both of them the night before at a recruiting that was being held for the interviewees.

Interviewed Jun 2009 in Santa Monica, CA (took 3 months)
Had two phone interviews with two different people in the Recruiting Department. These were thorough and intense. Once I cleared these, last hurdle before the face-to-face interview was a phone interview with the CMO.
He rescheduled 3 different times including two times that were immediately before the scheduled start time. Once we finally connected, he was on his cell phone driving and he was distracted. He was friendly, but not a good listener. He cut the interview short, said he had an emergency. However, he said he really liked what he was hearing and definitely wanted to continue the conversation ASAP. He said his assistant would be in touch immediately.
She never called and when I followed up, I got a call back from the original recruiter. She gave a very canned "thanks, but no thanks" sorry charlie.
It was frustrating because they originally came to me, I was not even looking and they ultimately used up a lot of my time. Maybe the way they treated me is indicative of their culture so its best I never made it all the way.
The silver lining was I did get some good interview practice, plus a little glimpse into how not to treat people when I am hiring.

The interview process consisted of interviews with a manager and then a recruiter. The manager asked thoughtful questions and really put a good face on the company.
