    Product Manager Interview

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days - interviewed at Actix in October 2013.

    Interview Details

The telephone interview (arranged via an agency) was regarding a Product Management role.
The technical questions actually asked - by 2 existing Product Managers - were at the level of a graduate engineer, purely memory related rather than technology knowledge related or regarding the needed experience and approach to skills most needed for such a role.
The exact same role was re-posted online in 1-2 days later (by the same agency) with only a title change - as a Technology Architect role, clearly inconsistent and irrelevant.

    Interview Questions
    • Obsession with specific contents of L3 protocol messages (easily found in known specs) - little to do with a Product Management role.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Actix in February 2012.

    Interview Details

Easy and fair interview. Asked mostly job experience, programming background, and they will brief you about your role, jobscope, and pay.

2 rounds of interviews: first round are local managers casually talking to you about your experience. Second round of interview involved a SA from US who tested you with technical questions in RF, Web (HTML, Ajax), and math questions.

The process took 5 days - interviewed at Actix in January 2012.

Lots of whiteboard programming questions, How to replace char in string how to delete node from doubly linked list, how to calculate factorial using recursion how to swap array elements like 1st to last and so on.

questions like what is marshalling? Typical Win32 program layout, what is xml attribute, What are main components of Windows application like GDI, USER and Kernel (though he was not sure of his own question)

Though interviewer claimed he has very long exp of interviewing people I found him one of worst interview as he was more interested in answer like "I don't know" to some of his question (may be to satisfy his own ego, poor techi fellah), One of other guys looks completely uninterested, and speak like something stuck in his mouth.

Overall impression is they seems to come without any homework and clear-cut question as every other question had to be rephrased and not to the point. No question related to your experience but questions that they know (probably not !!)
