The hiring manager acted super interested initially and then strung me along for months and months with barely any response to emails or voicemails....only after multiple calls and informing the HR rep that I was offered another job at a competing firm was I finally made an offer, which I accepted.
I had two friends go through this same stressful courting process without the satisfying release of receiving an undervalued offer.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
The HR manager would not make an offer and was holding back until I revealed at least a ballpark figure of the competing offer. Since I really did have a decent offer at another company, I went ahead and highballed the ballpark figure only to get a whopping 1K over that number. Awesome.
Other Details
I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Drug Test and a Background Check.
