Research Analyst Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Ahold USA.
Interview Details – The process took about a month, partly due to my own schedule. The HR person was very accommodating and was very personable. I went for an in-person interview and was told that someone would be in touch in 7-10 days to let me which direction the company would be going with my candidacy. I sent a follow-up note that evening thanking them for interviewing me. I got a response from that email the next day, but never heard back in 7-10 days - not even a generic "thanks but we chose someone else" email. Very unprofessional but, unfortunately, somewhat common these days.
Interview Question – What style of manager do you prefer? Answer Question

I applied through other source and the process took 5+ weeks - interviewed at Ahold USA.
Interview Details – I did get to learn about the BI Intern position at AholdUSA through NEU career fair, where i got a chance to hand over my resume to company recruiting team. Got an email confirmation to conduct phone interview. After clearing the first, entered the second round of interview which was telephonic again. And finally got the confirmation call from HR , followed by offer letter in email.
Interview Question – I would say both of the telephonic interview were quite a pleasant experience, more of interaction. Please be thorough about the details mentioned in resume. Like in my case, I was asked question related to which what are the challenges in BI and share any interesting case study of BI in real company, as I am currently helping my professor of Umass in her BA/BI research projects.(mentioned in my resume). Business Analyst Interview (Negative Experience; Very Difficult Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Ahold USA in February 2014.
Interview Details – First interview with HR went well. The second interview was on the phone with a senior manager.
Interview Question – Before any introduction the interviewer asked me: "Do you have any questions?" The question was to say the less odd as I barely knew what the job was about. I only talked to the HR person. I asked a few questions, he was cold, nearly rude. He then asked a few questions. Most of the time close questions, I naswered and gave as much detail as possible (2-3 minutes each). Each time he let a long silence after my answers, implying "that's all?" to finaly say thank you. This interview was a waste of time for both of us. His first words were actually to tell me that he didn't want to do the interview!!! Answer Question
