Declined Offer – Interviewed in Pasadena, TX Oct 2011 – Reviewed Nov 14, 2011
Interview Details – Initial meeting at Career fair on Campus. Followed up with interview with Engineer with the company and straight into an interview with a HR rep. HR rep was all behavioural questions. Then second round was 2 more interviews with senior engineers. Great interview, relaxed, discussed how I wanted my career to evolve, answered all my questions. Albemarle are a great group of people, made sure the job I wanted, in the location I wanted was the issue.
Interview Question – What aspect of Mechanical Engineering do you find the most interesting? Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Had a better job offer in an industry I was more interesed in. But Albemarle are a great company.
No Offer – Interviewed in Baton Rouge, LA Oct 2011 – Reviewed Nov 7, 2011
Interview Details – Recruited at my college career fair. There were 2 days of interviews, each 1 hour long. The first day was largely technical, with questions abut Raolt's law, thermodynamics, and reactor design. The second day was behavioral. The work culture doesn't seem fast paced. Unique coworker relationships can be built, though, because the company is so small and everyone works in teams. There is great visibility to the management in baton rouge, too, where the CEO walks through the same halls as everyone else.
Interview Questions

Interview Details – The interview consisted of three part which included a section of technical question, and situatinal question and q&a about the company. Overall the interview try to establish my background as an engineer. However, the interview is hard because they dont care about how much knowledge you have but if you can answer their specific question. For example they want you to remember a concept whether or not you understand it. Overall, its a good experience if you can remember what they ask, you should be in good shape.

I received a response within 24 hours to my online application and scheduled a phone interview. The interviewer was friendly but knew very little about the position I was interviewing for and was not able to answer some specific questions I had.
I had no response after my interview so I called the number I was given to inquire. I was told that I had "passed" the interview and just wait to be contacted. It was several weeks If not an entire month before I received the formal rejection email.

Interview Details –
I met the recruiter at a career fair and had a campus interview 3 weeks later. The first interview consisted of two 30 minute interviews with a Process Engineer and then two girls from HR. The process engineer asked behavioral questions and one or two technical questions. The HR interview was all behavioral questions most of which were the same ones asked by the process engineer.
The second round of interviews was the next day ( they called you the evening after the first interviews). It was two 30 min interviews with engineering managers. They asked about how you handle conflict, group tasks, examples of when you made an ethical decision/action. I felt they were trying to get a feel for who you are.
