    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Alcon.

    Interview

The interview process was pretty standard. I first had a phone screening with a recruiter, then a phone screening with the District Manager. After the second screening I had a face to face interview with the district manager followed by personality/profile assessment a final interview with the Regional Director.

    Interview

One of the weirdest interviews I've ever had because of how unfriendly and awkward this manager was. Completely uninterested in the answers I gave, mgr was staring at the ceiling at one point and barely made eye contact anytime I spoke. Bad personality, never cracked a smile for a second, to say "dry" personality would b an understatement. I'm pretty sure this manager would be a holy terror and not someone I want to work for.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Alcon (Fort Worth, TX) in March 2015.

    Interview

Typically, when I interview for a company, I do quite a bit of prep work - reading the financial and/or annual reports (if available) and sifting through the corporate website, LinkedIn, etc. to understand the company, its players, etc.

Literally, the second I sat down, I was grilled with a bunch of cookie-cutter questions. About half-way through, I was allowed to ask my questions. I really strive to get a feel for the corporate environment and the dynamics/personalities of my potential colleagues. However, the interviewers were tough to read, and one of them kept looking at her phone/clock and mentioned that they had to keep a close eye on the time since they had interviews lined up all day. In short, I felt like a number.

They didn't call me back for a second interview, although I believe I'm more than qualified for the position.
