Recruiter called me and thought I would be perfect for the postion. They continued with a 1/1 with territory manager. Interview went fantastic, great manager and the job sounded perfect. I didn't hear back from recruiter/manager for two weeks. They contacted me for the 2nd interview which went perfectly. I was flown to meet the regional manager for final interview. First off I waited over 2 hours, they forgot about our interview time, I was headed back to the airport before the manager came out and apolozied. I decided to stay for interview and they booked me a later flight. The interview was pretty rough. It was hard to read how it went because the regional manager was blank and really didn't let me be me or ask a lot of questions. I went back to the airport and my new flight was not booked, I waited another hour so they could fix it bc Alcon reserved it but didn't pay for it. I barely was able to board my plane. I wrote a follow up email right away, thanking them. I didn't hear back after week one, I sent another email and called manager to see what was going on. NOTHING. I contacted the recruiter, she had no knowledge that they even flew me out for the final interview. She was not happy because I should have been notiflied or her. She proceeded to contact Alcons HR and they didn't know anything either. One month after my second interview, I still didn't hear from the manager and the recriuter said, "just take it as a no." I went above and beyond, I felt I deserved to know why.

Received an email from Alcon asking me to schedule an interview time with them through my college's jobsite. It was an on-campus interview. I spoke to 2 people separately. I first spoke with an engineer who asked me mostly about points on my resume. He asked what I was most and least confident and comfortable with. Next I spoke to someone from HR, who asked me personality questions: weaknesses, what I am proud of, why I want to work at Alcon, etc.
I thought things went well, but there were plenty of candidates and I did not get an internship with them.

The whole recruitment process was very professional and quick. Recruiter did initial interview, followed by 1:1 and panel interview. Background check before offer was made.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Tampa, FL (took 1+ week)
not very friendly. Not very nice. Found it difficult to understand how living location would work ( 45 min ). No compensation for the traveling and no expenses payed. Offer was not given even after the questions were answered as needed.

I interviewed with Alcon in January, I am a recent college graduate and had no sales experience so that was against me. The interviewer was hardcore, which he should have been and I didn't get the job. If I could do it again I would research products more indepth and focus on college education.

Sat down with the human resources director and design manager for an interview at their Fort Worth location. Both were very nice ladies. The design director asked most of the questions, all pretty standard interview type questions. They looked through my portfolio and asked questions as they went through.
The position was for an in-house design job, consisting of creating pieces mainly for Alcon's marketing group and events held within the company. (Not working with the Alcon brand itself)

Emailed for Initial Interview from HR.
Met with IT group and reviewed job description and general discussion on job and company.
Discussed my qualifications with entire group with emphasis on the job requirements.
Met with IT manager 1-1
Met with HR Director 1-1 and was given personality test and opportunity to ask general questions about the company.
Overall time in interview was 4 hours.
After the interview I responded with Thank You letters and that was the last time I heard from the company. I sent in numerous emails to the HR dept and to the IT manager for additional information and was never responded too. I found that very unprofessional.
