I was asked several technical questions that were pretty straight forward to answer. Also, they were curious about my previous employer's culture and when they realized it was very similar to theirs, I got a credit for :). I was asked about typical problems in my previous work. Remember you never say everything was ideal. You have to give them something and elaborate on it little bit.

I feel if I asked them for several grands more, they would increase my salary. But at the time, it was my only offer, and the job market was not promising, so I accepted the first offer which was %12 higher than my previous salary. So, I did not complain.

Time consuming...took several months between initial contact and actual offer. Numerous level of approval and interviews before an offer is made. A couple of phone interviews plus a group interview with roughly 8 people.

Interviewed with members of the training team and discussed what my strengths were. They presented the direction the position was heading and what they expected. We then spent the rest of the interview discussing what they thought were some of the strengths that would be required for the job and then asking some behaviorally based questions about my previous experience. Very organized, good matching skills and experience instead of just asking hypothetical questions.

ATK uses a variety of outside placement firms to find candidates. This was supposedly a confidential search since the incumbent was being replaced, but the job was posted to several job boards. The chief challenge is the job description ATK provides the placement firm bears little resemblance to the position ATK is hiring for, and since ATK doesn't provide the recruiter specifics, it's difficult to know what it being sought. You end up answering general questions to the best of your ability while wondering if the recruiter has really read your resume. If he had, he wouldn't have called. I clearly didn't have subject matter/domain knowledge in the area they were recruiting for. This should have been a simple phone screen that lasted a few minutes rather than a hour long conversation in which I kept repeating myself.
