No Offer – Interviewed in Austin, TX Sep 2011 – Reviewed Sep 25, 2011
Interview Details – First had a pre-screening phone interview which during that interview was told they would schedule a phone interview with the Area HR Manager. Then had phone interview with Area HR Manager (lasted 20 minutes) resulting in asking me to come in for face to face interview. Had face to face interview with the same Area HR Manager at the Austin office, was told that would be a final panel interview if I made it. Within 2 days, got called back to have a panel interview with 4 people. Lasted about an hour, and was told the Area HR Manager would tell me the result the following week. I NEVER heard back from her, and left her a message after waiting the week and still never got a response. It was really weird and gave me my final opinion of the company so it is a blessing in disguise.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Seattle, WA Jul 2010 – Reviewed Jul 29, 2010
Interview Details – Still in progress. Was offerd position (not originally applied for) contingent on passing drug test and background check. Going to fill B.G. check app. tomorrow. Squeeky clean so should not be a problem. However not impressed so far. Initially interviewed for a full time position then told after the interview it was given to another applicant who more closely matched the "customer's profile" and I was "somewhat overqualified" (I think they wanted someone younger) but they could offer me a part time position (at same customer). I'm going ahead with it because I need the job. Will see how it pans out...
Interview Question – With your broad experience, why a security job? Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Seattle, WA Jan 2010 – Reviewed Jun 26, 2010
Interview Details – Asked to come in for interview/application with recruiter. Follow-up interview was cancelled twice due to manager not being available. Finally met with manager. Offered job a few days later. Job was not available by the time the manager met with me to set up a meeting the client. Went on hold for a several weeks.
Interview Question – Why was I looking for a job since I had such extensive experience? View Answer
Negotiation Details – Not certain if there was a real opening for me or if the recruiter was simply trying to find a place that could use someone with experience, as I have. Recruiters are easy to "read". Managers are sales-types and more difficult to "read". Take copious notes at all interviews and be certain to use those notes at final stages of negotiating. Get any promises in writing.
