Interviewed Dec 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 2 weeks)
I had gone through a very professional interview via the phone, then an online assessment was scheduled, I passed the assessment & was set up for a 1 on 1 interview. I was told I've been recommended for the available position however it takes 2 weeks to hear back on the background check which includes a criminal background check and credit check. Have 2 weeks to go!

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 1 week)
Applied online. Contacted online within a few days to schedule a phone interview. Here I was asked questions about my experience with customer service and "How I show other people that I respect them." I said that the best way to do this is by listening to them. I was also asked if I have experience dealing with difflcult customers. Then interviewer was very nice. I was put off however when she asked me "What is the least amount that you would work for, considering that benefits begin on day 1?"
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
I did not continue the process after the phone interview even though I was invited for an interview. After our conversation I did some online research about the salaries and found that they were below the industry standard.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and an IQ/Intelligence Test.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in San Antonio, TX (took 4+ weeks)
Went to the job fair where I had a pre-interviewee and left my resume. They called me in for the interview I waited a couple weeks and someone called me asking if I'd be interested in the sales instead of the service position. They explained the differences in job duties and I agreed. I then had to re-interview for the sales job. Then they called me to take the drug test and hired me on the notion I would pass my license exam. They paid for me to take the exam twice, which I passed and I was hired permanently.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Woodridge, IL (took 1 week)
Applied online, within a couple of days received a call and had a phone interview. I passed the
phone interiew, then I was told I needed to take a assesssment test, the test was email, and needed to be taken with 48 hours. Once taken, you will get a email right away indicating if you passed or failed, I passed. Then you receive another email, it will indicate what is your availibility in 5 days for a interview. I replied with my open days. Interview was set up. The interviewer was late by 30 min., I was asked several behavorial questions, the interveiwer read questions from a sheet of paper, I really had to think of different situations that I have experience. After the inteview I was told the information will by faxed over to HR, and they inturn will make the hiring decisions. I have not heard anything as of yet..

Negotiation Details
There wasnt much room to negotiate at the positio i had applied for. I was offered and hourly wage along with commisions and bous. The bonus amounts are determined by the total dollar value of the Policy and the tpe of polcy as well. Multi line policies meant higher commissions.

Applied online for Allstate insurance company and got a call within a week or two to come in. Most of the questions were describe a time when... I brought my resume but I'm not sure if work history accounts for anything because everyone starts out with the same salary. Beware: You will work nights and weekends!

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Charlotte, NC (took 2 weeks)
Fill out online application. Receive phone interview asking a few questions (these will be similar to the questions asked 1-on-1). If acceptable, a skills test will be e-mailed. Fill out and complete. There is mainly personality questions but a little bit of graphical analysis as well. You will be notified immediately if you pass or fail. Afterwards, you schedule a 1 on 1 with someone at Allstate. They will ask you very similar questions to the phone interview. They fax this information off to HR who makes the decision to hire, they cannot make that decision themselves. HR will take a while depending on the hiring volume (took me about 2 weeks) and then they do a job offer contingent on background check and drug test. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE DRUG TEST WITHIN 72 HOURS. They will set everything up for you. They are worth the trouble though ^_^

Interviewed Dec 2008 in Woodridge, IL (took 3 weeks)
hiring and interview process was pretty much the norm in today's world, minus a drug test
Negotiation Details
no negotiations available; stay clear of Allstate in Woodridge unless you are only interested in attaining your property and casualty license at their expense and then leaving. The experience their in comparison to other call centers was far below average. Environment is very childish and pay is extremely low.
