I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Altria (Indianapolis, IN) in Feb 2013
Interview
They had a display set up at my university's career fair and I gave them my resume. I signed up for an interview through my campus career services. The first interview was more of a screening interview with more basic questions. The second interview was a combination of a short answer test and a panel interview with four employees. This was by far more difficult. They follow the STAR format. Researching the company before going in is a must. The third part of the interview was the Day in the Field where they brought us to a city and paired us with another TSM and a Unit Manager to get a feel for the everyday routine. At this point I got the impression we were getting a job offer for sure, they just like to show potential employees what the job is really like so there is no confusion.

Question 1
How would you pitch your sales story to this specific client?
First step was to answer screening questions and submit a resume. Second step was a pre recorded interview where you had to record yourself answering several questions and respond in writing about salary expectations.
3 steps - Behavioral, case study, and shadowing a manager. Very casual interview process. Focus on the STAR method and it'll be fine. For the case study you have to sell in a product by influencing the prospect with data and insights they provide
