I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Amazon.com in January 2012.

    Interview Details

The first interviewer was very nice. Normal question about resume and linked list question.
The second interviewer wasn't that good. I can hear he was eating when I was coding. And He asked me to wait for him to read the code because when I was coding when was doing something else. I finished the question but not happy with the interview process.

Very to-the-point and very technical. Almost no fluffy questions. Algorithms, data structures, but fairly low level ones. Hash tables and BSTs are basically the limit. Nothing related to Dynamic Programming, Divide and Conquer or any algorithms that require even an inch of thought.

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at Amazon.com in January 2010.

    Interview Details

I did three phone interviews with Amazon and was asked a bunch of technical questions. Some questions are basic and simple, while some others are about certain systems and products, which I don't think reasonable to ask in an interview that is supposed to examine the applicant's basic capabilities of problem solving.

    • What's deadlock? how to solve it? How to do it by software?   Answer Question
