    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazontech.

    Interview

After I updated my LinkedIn profile, Amazon recruiter contacted me very quickly. It showed that they are hiring very aggressively. The phone interview was arranged quickly for next week. Phone interview went very smoothly. The first time I used collabedit to write code, but it worked fine. I was applied for sdet position, but after phone interview, they decided to interview me for QAE position as I missed one coding question. The onsite interview was then schedule a week later. There are 4 loops in the onsite interview. Interviewer were generally nice except the last one. I think the last one was trying to see how I perform in the pressure situation. Overall experience was positive. Be prepared for a lot of behavior questions. The coding question was not hard, but I again screwed it as I didn't remember the syntax of one data structure. His hint was in java and I was using C#. That caused some inconsistency.

    Interview Questions

    • I didn't have a good answer for some behavior questions like giving an example that a project is behind schedule, what did you do? I now know that Amazon is very serious about their 14 lead ship principles and they are trying to see if you have any of those qualities.   Answer Question
