The work culture is tough to deal with as a manager because your authority is constantly being undermined. Hourly employees often have more authority than the managers.

Interview Question – They are looking for someone that is willing to work all hours of the day and night. Several of the questions are geared to seeing if you are willing to work the hours and days that the job will require.   Answer Question

Director of R&D Interview

Director of R&D
Manchester, MI

I applied online and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Amcor Rigid Plastics in December 2011.

Interview Details – The process was well organized and extremelly professionally done. Respectful for all parties. Far more extensive and varried especially their attempt to make sure candidate and Amcor culture are a match. I was quite impressed with each phase and while tedious I can see it has great value. They have a great culture they are building anew and are being very careful to nuture it by finding people who fit with their philosophy of innovation, customers, and safety.

Interview Question – Why are you looking to leave your current job and expertise in product develpment to take this position?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – The pay is very fair and balanced. It did not require significant negotiation. Be clear about your target pay early on is my best results.

Senior SAP Business Analyst Interview

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Amcor Rigid Plastics in February 2011.

Interview Details – I first had to attend a phone interview. This was mostly technical. The people know what they were talking about and were professional. After I cleared it they called for an interview on site in their Michigan office. I had to talk to the technical team for an hour and with the HR and senior management.
HR interview is the biggest joke. They will kill you with standard questions. You could fall asleep without effort.
for eg, your strengths, weakness, handle difficult situations.
Senior management interview was just as boring. they ask same standard HR questions.
