    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Amedisys.

    Interview

I think it may be up to the hiring manager, but I had a panel interview with 6 or 7 people. It started with a recruiter phone interview and then the hiring manager called to set up an interview. The interview was a lengthy process. May not be the same anymore or with all managers.

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Amedisys in June 2010.

    Interview

I'm not sure what happened during the entire month that I was attempting to secure the position, but the process took a very long time. I think possibly that there may have been some clinical management changes and various managers were on vacation back-to-back for a few weeks. Of course, I had multiple job offers from other companies during that time, so it was frustrating to turn down offers while waiting for this position. I sought out employment specifically with Amedisys because they are an excellent company that provided excellent care for two of my family members. I knew that I wanted to work for them.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked if I would be willing to cover other areas if needed. This was not an option for me, and it caught me off guard that they asked me to do that. I'm sure others might have implied that they would be willing, but I had to be honest...and I got the job anyway!   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Very simple. I was seeking compensation to match what I currently was making. Amedisys offered a very competitive rate.

    • The questions were not difficult. Tell me about a time you lost a sale to a competitor and what you did to try to earn the business the next time.   1 Answer
